I'd let her do it. Why not?

Then I could sell the chair as haunted.

Edit: She better not eat any of my damn food, though. If she's dying anyway, then she should die without taking anything with her.
So you're going for the Dale Gribble approach eh? (If the my original post didn't give a big enough hint, this was a King of the Hill episode)

Oh. I've seen the show, but not the episode in question. What did Dale do?

An old lady went to Hank and asked if she could die there. Meanwhile, Gribble needed a gift for his wife, so he decided to make their house a "Bed and Breakfast" but thought that was too lame. He decided that a haunted Bed and Breakfast would be much better and offered the old lady the rights to die at his house so that she could haunt the place.

I would make sure that the local authorities knew just so they wouldn't charge me with murder or something for having some strange lady dead in my home.

If I had the luxury of knowing all that (no legal issues, etc.) then I'd be totally cool with it. I'd just want her children's or grandchildren's numbers, if possible, so I wouldn't have to manage the funeral despite not knowing her.

I've allowed a lot more scary people into my home, and I've done favors for them that cost me more... given them the food out of my mouth, in one case.

If she's asking me, then it must be important to her.

"Lady, cash up front, then enjoy. If you don't want to pay, I'm selling the house and burning it. So give me some money. Oh, and stay away from the sofa. That f**ker is mine. Have fun!"

Given that we are the first and only owners of this house, I'd say she was severely delusional, but sure, why not? My grandmother died in the room across from mine, so it wouldn't be the first time someone died here.

I voted no. If she loved the damn place so much, why didn't she, y'know, live there during the last years of her life?

Sorry, lady, but being obliging only goes so far. By all means come in, walk around, reminisce for a while. But me letting you die here? I'd sooner let you take a dump on the dining room table. Beat it.

My gut says no but Beauty and the Beast has taught me that she might well be an enchantress testing me.

Well, as long as there are no repercussions and I know for sure that it's okay with her loved ones and everything, I'd say yes I think. I wouldn't want to be the one to deny her that, I can only hope that if I asked the same, then I would get the same treatment that I would give her.

yeah, talking to dying people is always very interesting even (or especially) when you dont have any real connection to them.

Sure why not? It doesn't affect me - Hell someone might have already died in my house and I just don't know about it (previous tenants and all that) so what does another matter? If it will make her death easier on her I'd let her.

I basically follow this fine gentlemen's line of reasoning:

If everything else was already sorted out and there was no possibility of a misunderstanding, sure, why not.

Everyone wants to die feeling content, if I'm the one who can offer that contentment, who am I to refuse?

She could be a malevolent witch. If you let her in, she could curse your house with pestilence and poison your water supply. If you don't, she might cast a nasty curse on your first-born child. You might want to just slay her at the doorstep there and then. Then she'd really be knocking on death's door. :D
I like this answer, it should be a pol option.

On topic as long as I was sure she was not a murderer I'd let her die in the house, I rent so it doesn't bother me.

Nobody got the reference from this being the plot of a King Of The Hill reference.

But yes, I would.
