Depending on the death, it can very much be like the movies. Emptying of bowels and so on isn't the default thing to happen, especially with terminal patients who're barely in shape enough to live through an IV drip, not even contemplating solid food.
I've sat a few death watches and I've yet to see anything 'far from pretty' happen within an hour of the death.
Anyway, I'd like to turn the question on it's head, for the people who say 'no, too creepy' and such. Why
wouldn't you honor this old lady's final wish? What is it about someone dying that's 'creepy' to you?
