I was completely addicted to it on the DS. I was obsessed with getting my town and house perfect. I kept starting new games so my town would be better but then I thought "f*ck it... It's never going to happen...", so I stopped playing after about 50 new games. I prefer the GC version for a lot of reasons.

I'm thoroughly bored with the series, but City Folk looks really good. How does it compare to the other two?
It's like the gamecube version and the DS version combined. It has all the great seasons and holidays again, like Christmas, and Easter, and Halloween, and the terrain has things like hills and cliffs again. It's fixed all the areas where it went wrong in the DS game, and going to the city is a brilliant touch.

There's also slightly more to aspire for, as there are furniture sets sold in a store in the city that cost upwards of 100,000 bells just for one piece of furniture.

With that, new fish, new bugs, new dialogue, I'd say it's the best in the series.
Sweet. Now just to get a Wii...

Can you catch small whales now? I'm incredibly curious.

I played WW first. (I had a DS first, then got a Gamecube for the sole purpose of getting the original AC)

Then got AC, I don't have a Wii, so I'm not sure how City Folk is.

To me, it's a game where you play for say, a month or two, then you give it a rest, and then you re-discover it a month or two later and get back into it. To me, It's not a game I can play constantly.

I really need to get another copy of WW now. I sold my old one after my DS broke. Got a new one and missing AC.

No small whales yet I'm afraid :(

But I know there will be software updates for the game, seeing it's using WiiConnect24, so hopefully there will be more new fish and stuff.
