Poll: Annoying Escapist ads

So, I've just had to sit through another ad that forced me to watch it, and I'm wondering. Who would actually want to use these ads after they sit us down, tell us to shut up and buy their crap, dammit? Doesn't that just make you turn on loud music to drown out the audio and wait for the video to stop?

Is it just me?

I've never had to sit through any ads before or during videos on any site, so they don't really both me. If I did have to see them, they would be annoying since they'd waste time, or get in the way if they cover the video.

I don't download ads. I block them because I don't want to waste my bandwidth loading advertising for irrelevant shit. I don't really care about some teeth whitening breakthrough that was seen on CNN and the BBC.

I'd never have to do that if ads did their job and gave me good reasons for buying their products. It's too much to ask that, god forbid, I demand what their product smells like or tastes like instead of patronising me with a bunny or something.

i think the people advertising on this site are pretty often going for the wrong target audience which just makes them even more annoying
