Over the last couple years I've seen some really, really dumb forum posts and if anyone plays an online game there's always somebody on the Global Chat asking things an epileptic spidermonkey would know if it had been playing the game for ten minutes.

Very recently I participated in a thread whose creator was less than informed about the subjects he chose to discuss. This was very apparent simply from reading the Topic Paragraph and whenever he replied to a post it was even more obvious that this fellow was a little touched in the head.

After the 33rd or so forum post I think he began to see the error of his ways and his posts went from things like "You're not even considering the science." to things along the lines of "TROLOLOL" and "UMADBRO?" making a very sad attempt at preserving his intellectual integrity and putting his obvious stupidity down to an internet prank.

So basically this thread isn't about whether or not Internet Trolls are real, they definitely are. I just wanna know if you've ever been in a situation where someone was AntiTrolling; an AntiTroll being defined as someone who was so stupid it would appear to the outside observer that they were indeed trolling when in fact they were just plain old fashioned dumb.

Given the nature of this thread I imagine it could get very mean spirited very quickly so if you could take any steps to avoid a flamewar please do so.

For the troll to exist, they have to pretend to not be a troll, so there has to be similar not trolls along.

"Not sure if trolling or just ____" is a popular thing, rather annoying, but there's a reason it exists.

Yes, unfortunately some people really are that stupid, and have nothing better to do with their lives. I think we've all had a few stupid moments online in debates, but some people just take it to an extreme and will stick with their beliefs no matter how reasonable the opposing argument is.
