Don't mention Blazblue, games trash and the most hold your hand friendly game ever, i refuse to play it and still try to attend GG Tournaments.

It takes months and months to get DECENT at GG. At a big tournament for BB a top SF player spent an hour or two playing BB and got 3rd place.

GG is the pinnacle of gaming, BB is the call of duty casual trash!
Interesting. I might have to try BlazBlue.

I can't stomach most fighting games for the very same reasons you like them. There's difficulty due to depth (good difficulty) and then there's difficulty because the game requires you to make asinine inputs that are no longer necessary in modern controllers which have a billion buttons (difficult for the sake of being difficult).

I don't mind learning about hit boxes, cancel frames, interrupts, and all the other crap most fighting games boil down to as long as they are realistic about execution expectations. Giving me 2 frames in a 60 FPS animation to execute a combo is not an exercise in skill.

A good, deep game requires knowledge, understanding and foresight. Chess doesn't require spamming hadouken-hadouken-backward-semi-circle-high-punch-low-kick to move the goddamn rook.

I liked Blazblue but never found a favourite character or moveset. That plus I wasn't exactly great in online duels.

BlazBlue, I adore thee.

I haven't played Continuum Shift yet, as I only own Calamity Trigger.

My favorite character was Tao, and I was starting to get the hang of Rachel before I packed my xbox up for college.

Love both series, especially the gdlk soundtrack by the one Ishiwatari Daisuke. That said, I mostly play BB, as I only have GG Isuka (the sucky one) for PC.

I lean towards Testament and Johnny, but I can't honestly say I have a main as I don't play the game enough.

In BB my main is Nu-13. Because I fell in love with her from the moment I saw her gameplay and style.

You. And all of you who own Calamity Trigger need to send me your GFWL/Live names and/or Skype/MSN/Steam names. Don't have a lot of people to play with. My usual friend has been MIA.

Blazblue got me into fighting games really (not counting Smash Bros, which I do consider fighting games).

However, I don't play that often anymore. MvC3 took priority for me. Plus, I learned Blazblue on a basic controller, then switched to stick, and it was a ***** trying to relearn the game, and I kind of lost interest. Been meaning to get back into it though.

My main is Hakumen. Love me that big-ass sword.

Guilty Gear I've played a little of, and I really liked it, but it was far past the games popularity.

I've never played Guilty Gear but I really liked BlazBlue. It's some of the best fun I've ever had with a fighting game. I usually played Hakumen or Jin.

I was too late for guilty gear (but loved the look of it) but I adored BlazBlue after picking it up on a whim. I'm not good at fighters so the online usually slaughters me, but I loved the characters, the story mmode, the art style, the music, the combat... pretty much everything apart from the inevitable butt kicking i take in the vs.

I really, really tried to like Guilty Gear, but it's just so insane that I had literally no idea where to start. I would have had to watch several hours of Youtube tutorial videos first. The game mechanics seemed really intricate and the screen just explodes with colours and teddy bears and dolphins and crazy stuff during a fight. Just not my thing, I suppose :(

The one thing I like is the handheld Continuum Shift II for the 3DS. It's great for people who are new to the game, or not good at it. You have the touch screen serving as your command list, and it prevents awkwardly pausing to view moves. Thanks to it, I can play just about anyone well. (except for Carl and Hazama)

Both, though I only keep my skill up on BB since GG has no online scene and my local one is nonexistent.

I can use almost everyone though my main has always been Bang. I'm on PS3, PSN is dreikoo, you may have seen me, ninjaing your face for the sake of justice and manliness and double D cups!

Oh certainly.

I need to stop playing a variety of games and instead play Blazblue obsessively until I am a pro-tier Rachel Alucard player.

I thought BlazBlue was okay, but I couldn't quite grasp it. The "REBEL 1, FIGHT" thing confused the shit outta me, and the little bit of the story I played was like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I remember liking Guilty Gear a lot though, but my friend had a habit of pulling instant wins out of his ass.

Come to think of it, anyone here see the new balance changes in Extend? Noel, Makoto, Tsubaki nerfed, others slightly buffed or laterally moved, it's shaping up great.

Relius is looking epic as well.

I'm going to have to go with the Bridget fans. Bridget for the win.

Bridget is my favourite character of Guilty Gear. And Rachel Alucard is my most favourite character of Blazblue.

Speaking of liking these games, I don't know that there's too many fighting games I don't like.

I only played Guilty Gear and that was on PC, so it was awesome (crazy characters, stunning visuals) and shitty (keyboard controls) at the same time.
