I hate it. I hated it as far back as Series 1. I can't believe it's gone on this long. I think we need to shoot Davina McCall. That is all.

(P.S. Don't shoot Dermot O'Leary though. He's actually done some good stuff as well as doing Big Brother...)

EDIT: British TV is getting relly bad now. The Apprentice finale is on Sunday, and the Primeval season finale on Saturday. The two decent things left on TV now (I don't count US shows because I watch those online through Surf The Channel). Why do they get rid of TV gold for this sort of rubbish? More Apprentice and Primeval would be infinitely better than Big Brother (and yes, I am aware they're all on seperate channels, but my point still stands).

I hate it with the fiery intensity of a million George Foreman grills, and I have done so since the first series. Hooray! It's... people acting like idiots? What's the big deal? If I wanted comedy, I would go for scripted comedy, i.e. a film. It's the "Big Brother Live" shows that annoy me the most, though. While channel surfing I accidentally came across one of those shows, and what was on TV? People sleeping. Nothing else. Just watching people sleep for however long the programme lasts. Woo.

Oh, well. A while ago I heard that it's actually been cancelled. I really, really hope it has been.
New series comes out tonight. Sorry to burst your bubble.
If anyone didn't know that then they must have been hiding under a rock. And been deaf. And blind. Its everywhere and it hasn't even started! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks its pathetic and a poor excuse for prime time tv.

Oh and agree Anachronism more than humanly possible. Its on like all the time and if its not just a bunch of people sleeping its them lying in bed talking about their lives. Now i mean this in the nicest way possible but... Who gives a fuck?

Well, I'm none of those things, so I don't really know how to explain the fact that I had no idea it was starting again. I think it's probably one of my brain's subconscious self-defence mechanisms: blocking out anything and everything related to Big Brother in order to preserve my own sanity.

Height of UK TV crap: BBC dramas, like Merlin. Hilariously sh*t. I turned over to Robin Hood, and thought it was a sketch show as the acting was so awful.
I like both of those. I don't really watch Robin Hood, but I saw Merlin and thought it was great. You want crap? Stuff like all that 'Snog Marry Avoid' type rubbish, that is what's crap.

I voted yes thinking the poll was the same as the topic title. Bah, serves me right for skimming.

Lol I NEED that kind of subconscious! Might help me through the next few weeks whilst the show dominates people's lives.
As for other UK shows, agreed that Robin Hood is awful and although I dont particularly like Merin, I know a few people who do.

I remember watching the first series with intrigue, but it quickly delved into just plain bullshit when they installed 24/7 cameras there.

It's just dull to watch retards bum about all day, and the amount of money they get for being such scene-people is unbelievable.

Actually, yeah, that's what it is now. It's the holy grail for scene kids grown up.

Looking at the average British girl, they could learn a lot from that show =p
Need more series like Rome, I think that was one of the best things, other than Sharpe of course, that British TV has done.
Spooks?

Seriously, Spooks?

In my opinion the worst thing was Jade Goody. One minute she is the antichrist for being racist etc, but oh no, she has cancer. That makes her being an inane bullying bigot OK!

Oh hang on...

The only way I'd watch was if after bringing everyone into the house they locked the doors and set it on fire.
Indeed, it's been axed in Australia, thank christ, I couldn't stand that shit.

Thankfully this may be one of the last series, rating have been dropping massively with each season so C4 will pull the plug soon, maybe its because all the masses got distracted by Britain's got talent?

But besides Ashes to Ashes most British TV is crap recently, good thing we've still got the american media pumping away.

It's tasteless, pointless and exploitative.

I can see why the companies put it on; it costs nothing to produce and idiots line up to be in it.

Still, worst form of reality television. Ever.

Me too.

In my impatient rage in exclaiming my hatred for reality TV once again on these forums, the misleading question that differed from the thread title caught me out.

Can I change my vote to "No, I want to nuke the house."?

The thing is, I actually still watch Robin Hood. I'm well aware that it's absolutely terrible, but I don't mind that: I turn it into my own personal MST3K. It works incredibly well, because there are so many things to mock about that programme; it provides endless amusement. For me, at least.

Agreed 100%. Although it did go a little OTT with the sex and violence, it calmed down a bit once the first few episodes were done, and ended up being one of the best things I've seen on TV in quite some time. It's a pity they had to end it after two seasons, but they ended the story really well, and I always believe it's best to quit while you're ahead.

Good, I wasn't the only one. I just assumed the poll question would be the same as the thread title, and in my hatred for Big Brother, I immediately clicked "Yes".

I voted yes as well. The people who really voted "yes" on purpose must be feeling really lonely right now...

I've always hated "reality tv". It's basically real life without any of the things that justify being alive.
I've never understood the appeal of sitting down to watch a bunch of idiots and chavs sitting around being idiots and chavs.

Was thinking of adding an option such as that. But then thought that might encourage violence towards the show. Oh wait.... lol

And ah ha caught some of ya out did I? *Pretends that is what he intended to do in the first place*
