I know everybody was disappointed when the launch trailer turned out to have no ties to the actual game, but will you get it anyway?

You know, I saw the gameplay video and it doesn't look bad. Kind of like Just Cause 2 with zombies and co-op. I could dig that.

It sounds case copy of dead rising. Except on an island, and less malls. Not that it is a bad thing, I plan to pre-order it. I have been following it since it was first announced way back in 2006... or was it 2008. Supposedly it has a new and revolutionary damage decal system, where flesh actually rots and wounds appear more realistic (By texturing muscle under skin I believe). Or so I heard, if there is any truth to it or not, I do not know. However it does look like one bad ass zombie game, even if it is copying a little, if it works it works.
I'm really not sure what kind of game anybody was expecting based on the original trailer, to be honest.
What I've seen of the gameplay (1 trailer) leads me to think that the game has potential, but I'm not putting in a pre-order for it. I want to see what the reviews have to say.

On launch probably, it looks like a good coop game. The words "Like Borderlands but with more skills" were used in regards to the RPG part of the game. So thats good i suppose

The gameplay video was more or less what I was expecting from the origional ads and marketing hype, so sure I'm still exited about it. The exploding throwing knives and electro-machete look a little wierd, but what the hell thay also look pretty fun.
Yes I agree. L4D comparisons are inevitable. So it looks "Like L4D, but" tropical with more focus on melee and stealth I believe.SouthpawFencer said:

My first views of the game were bad. I thought it was just a zombie version of heavy rain. But today I watched the E3 gameplay video, and I thought it looked amazing. The concept of a level up system with left 4 dead gameplay in an open world enviroment. Sign me up.
I'm gonna wait to see what Yahtzee likes about it... but I think i'll probs be getting it anyway. It looks pretty good.,
