I personally don't like any sort of musical covers, but Glee really bothers me.

It's only gimmick is that it takes popular songs and uses them for it's own purposes. Other than that, it's a show that any decent TV company could beep-boop out with ease.

That's my opinion, feel free to argue it.

I'm semi-annoyed with it because the way it was pitched to me before it was made was that it was about social outcasts pretty much who find something in common by performing together which is all very well and good. Then it turned out they weren't outcasts at all but staple characters from every teen feel-good movie ever and they all come together because of their shared immense well of talent and brilliance.

Basically it sounded good but turned out to be utter shite. So my emotion is disappointent mixed with annoyance.

I don't mind the show all that much. I watched the first few episodes, found it to be pretty clichéd and hokey, and haven't watched it since. It's the fans that tend to get on my nerves. The obsessive ones who never shut up about it in particular.

Only thing I enjoyed from it is Neil Patrick Harris singing 'Dream On'.
He has quite the vocal range doesn't he?
Udder than that, no, that show is not my piece of pie.

I am man enough to admit that I love the show.

How could anyone argue your position, when your position is "take away the show's gimmick and it's just a show". That is like saying "take away the Wii's motion control and it's just a console."

I watched an episode. I wasn't impressed. Now I just ignore it.

I watched the Madonna episode and managed to enjoy it. It's doing something right if I managed to enjoy Madonna.

It's high school musical for the more mature audience (IE, not five year olds and twilight fans), and it's doing it's job just fine. I'm not a fan, I'm not angry. I honestly don't care.

Each to their own. Glee is good mindless fun, even though the singing sometimes gets a little annoying (and Sue Sylvester is the best character by a country mile). It's the equivalent of double-sweet ice cream and chocolate sauce for the brain, and it's not pretending to be anything else.

If you don't like it, don't watch it. Simple.

And yes, Neil Patrick Harris is brilliant.

And the only reason that was enjoyed was because he is Barney Stinson. The Man, The Myth, The Legend

I wouldn't watch it, but I have seen it and it's ok. The only thing that pissed me off was everyone suddenly talking about 'the Journey song!!!'. Well fuck, for all these years I thought it was called Don't Stop Believin'. Guess I was wrong. Any Way You Want It is better anyway.

They're only annoying because my maths teacher keeps going on about them. He makes up for it by being a Valve/BioWare fanboy though :D

I haven't seen much of it, but what I have seen forces me to compare it to High School Musical. I'll pass.
