Its a stat-based RPG, complete with an actual branching storyline based on your choices(Bioware/Bethesda ain't got shit on The Witcher), and to top it off, NO DRM.

I cannot stress that last part enough.

Its like CD Projeckt Red made a game based on what I want most. Hell I may even buy it twice, just because they treat you like a person instead of a potential pirate full of money.

Also, the standard edition is packed with more content then most collectors editions. And its the same price as any standard PC game.

I love CD Projeckt Red. So very much.

Aren't they also bringing it to Xbox?

Nope. PC only for the time being.

CD Projekt have said they're not even thinking about console versions until they get the PC version out the door.

really? i swore i saw advertisements all over the place with xbox logos all over the corners for it. (im getting it for the pc but my roommate was overjoyed when i told him i saw advertisements for it to come to the xbox too)

You might be thinking of the 360 port of the first game that got canned some time ago. Shame it happened.

it must have been some old ass posters hanging up then, because i remember seeing it visually in person, and i remember it was at either the mall or at gamestop, one of the two places. But yeah, my roommate really wanted to get it after seeing me play it for a while, but oh well, i told him i'd always help him build a rig when he got the money.

I really can't wait for this to come out though, this is easily one of my top 5 purchases this year. (and with the TRUCK LOAD of games coming out this year...thats pretty high)

The Witcher 1 was pretty good but it had a few aspects that I found lacking. Seems like they're fixing almost everything for the second one, so definitely I'm looking forward to it. That said, I'm not foaming at the mouth for it.

wow your a real moron.I guess any game that has tits in it is consider immature now.Isnt is odd that a game like the Witcher, as fantasy based game, gets consider immature but Grand theft auto with all its whores and strip clubs is consider some kinda work of art.
Had you ever read a Conan novel you would see women throw themselfs at Conan all the time.Not because they are weak or easy,but because Conan is a very powerful man and they are drawn to him for that.Same case with the witcher.

Also for the people bitching about the combat of the first game they changed it to a button masher now so you can be happy they you do not have to time your mouse clicks anymore.

It's a shame that it's going to be totally outshined by Dragon Age 2.

Hype wise maybe but I think over all gameplay wise Witcher 2 will win out.If you have looked into DA2 you can see they have striped out alot of RPG elements for a more mainstream approch to combat.It has halfassed realtime combat, or the pause and play type as in the first one.I say halfassed realtime combat because your still heldback by your abilitys cooldowns.Now saying that I have the highest respect for Bioware and I know DA2 will be a hit.But as far as fantasy Rpgs i pick up this year the witcher 2 will come before DA.

Also lets not forget that shit they pulled by releasing that DLC where you actually go after Morganne or however you spell it,that ties up the story.Nothing like buying a game,playing it and finished it only to find 3 months later they release the actual ending as DLC.

I loved the Witcher one of the best games in a long time, so the Witcher 2 are among the two games this year that I am truly excited for.
