No they aren't what makes CoD bad, but, part of what made Bioshock 1 so great was the managing your health pack things, and making choices about what weapons to upgrade, and managing all the ammo types.

BSI wont have any of that unfortunately.
-No resources that you have to manage
-No weapon upgrades
-No alt ammo types

And watching the gameplay footage they have shown up of it looks like they are just trying to make game of "HERE'S SOME ACTION" instead of doing what make Bioshock 1 so great, i.e. not be a game that was all about "HERE'S SOME EXPLOSIONS".
...? There was no need to conserve anything in Bioshock 1, thanks to the Vita-chambers. Just bum rush everything with the Wrench. You die? GO DO IT AGAIN! Everything is just as it was before you died. Repeat until you win the game.

Uh, disable vita chambers? You could also do your own saves so that when you die, if you wanted to, you could go back to the beginning of the chapter or hell even the very start of the game.

I'm not worried, I just wish it would hurry up. I'm more worry of say, the last gaurdian than I am about Bioshock.

After they scrapped the idea of adding multiplayer in Bioshock: Infinite, I think they removed some of my worries about it.

Same. We haven't heard of The Last Guardian in ages. And I am also worried of XIII Versus.

I too am worried about the last guardian, but I take solace in the fact that if Sony did officially cancel the game than the entire gaming community would rise as one and destroy them. Not that this would be neccessary, because all it will take to destroy Sony is to allow time to pass

Sorry for off-topic, my bad

Yeah I am worried about it slightly. I have been looking forward to it for a while and they were acting like it was almost done when Skyrim came out. Now they have two projects leads leaving and they have dropped the multiplayer (not like that is any great tragedy).

I'm concerned it's turning into vaporware. :<

I'm not worried. Nothing we've seen indicates that the game is in danger of being cancelled and while there's a significant chance of it not being exactly what we were initially shown (as happened with Bioshock 2) but I'm sure whatever we get will still be great.

I'm kind of disappointed about the loss of multiplayer since I thought Bioshock 2's was really fun, and the co-op missions they had going sounded interesting, but if it was a trade off to improve the single player mode it's worth it.

Versus XIII was confirmed cancelled two weeks ago. Made me lose hope for the FF franchise.
Are those sources trustworthy? If so, welp, not only do I have to lose hope for humanity in its entirety but also a fictional franchise. FF is now officially dead to me.

EDIT: As for Bioshock: Infinite, let's just say my worries are removed and my trust has been reinforced when they introduced Bioshock: Infinite/Project Icarus after the bombing or underwhelming effect of the unneeded Bioshock 2.

After the massive disappointments I've had *coughBioWarecough* I've become completely apathetic to anything in the video game industry. Bioshock Infinite has no MP? Meh. Darksiders II is coming out? Meh. Hitman Absolution is gonna be out in October? Meh.

So I now don't care even slightly about Bioshock Infinite. I'll play it when it comes out and if it impresses me, so be it. But I will not camp outside games store just to be the first to play it. Nor will I throw money on a special edition.

I loved both Bioshock 1 and 2 and from what I have seen of infinite, I will really enjoy that too. I am happy they have ditched the MP, but at this point in development, it wouldn't have made much of a difference, and the recent leaving of staff doesn't make a difference either, because those parts of the game would have already have finished. In the end, I am just as excited as I ever was, and the delay increased that excitedness, because it means they are making the game good, and not worrying about a deadline.

Uh... no? Why would I be?

Everything I've seen about it looked pretty damn good.

Unless you mean the fact that it got delayed, which is hardly rare.

I'm optimistic, but a little worried. Since the first two had so much variety in weapons and plasmids plus the challenge managing your resources, I think a two weapon slots/regenerating health/no upgrades system will be a bit of a kick in the balls and the game's reception from fans is sure to suffer. Still, they might have gotten rid of those features in the delay, so you never know.

I have no idea. I've somehow managed to miss almost any info regarding the game. All I know is that it's not in Rapture anymore and seems to have something to do with USA. Also, it's kinda steampunk. Since I have a soft spot for the overall concept of the Bioshock series (political ideology explored through shooting crazy people), I'm cautiously optimistic.

Really liked Bioshock 1 (didn't play 2) and I'm pretty hyped for Infinite. The Artstyle, Gameplay, Story, all of it.

Most likely the guys that left contracts were over and honestly if the team at Irrational cannot work without the leads there then thats pretty fuckin' pathetic, especially given their hiring standards. So I'm not phased with the recent anouncements.

I'm happy they're dropping the (unpolished) Multiplayer, rather than shoving in something rushed and cruddy, saves them more time on perfecting the Single Player.

Whilst I may have the whily attack dogs maime me for saying this i'm happy they've ditched the old health system and multiple weapons thing. Whilst those are good and all, they remove all the challenge. Bioshock 1 was piss easy, tempering the health and weapons on hand greatly opens up areas for challenge.
