Poll: Anyone Still Going to Watch Game Dogs?

I tried to like Game Dogs, I really did, I watched the first 4 episodes trying to like it, and I even watched the first episode of the second season to see if it got any better, but there is just NOTHING to like about this show. None of it is funny, and the terrible jokes are extended to the point where I feel physically nauseated by the end of one.

There is nothing the creators of this show could possibly do to save this train wreck at this point, so they just need to cut their loses, and amputate the damn thing from the escapist before it gets any worse.

Echoed my exact thoughts. I really have tried to like GameDogs, but I simply cannot force myself to like it. It's just...weak in every respect.

I watched all of it, because I have no life.

I personally found it was alright... But there were a lot of bad jokes and things that could have been handled better.

And the whole hand of fate episode? That's just messed up.

I hate to say it, but I feel like the only reason this has survived as long as it has seems to be because Russ Pitts and most of the main escapist staff are involved in it's creation.

I watched the first season and found it a bore, haven't seen any since. How gory did it get?

Okay, out of curiosity, I went and watched the episode. That was...uh...yeah, I'm not going to go back to Game Dogs. I'll stick with Doraleous, thanks.

Bring back Apocalypse Lane, DeRez, Unforgotten Realms or something from the Michaels of Doomsday Arcade. All those shows were quality. Apocalypse Lane may have not been my cup of tea, but I still enjoyed it because it was pretty good.

Just watched Hand of Fate.

Padding it out with "1 hour later" kinda blew it for me when it was pulled for about 5 times. Then the part where he beat the shit out of her just came of as a publicity stunt. The suicide made me conclude that this series is trying to hard.

I think they wanted to go out with a bang, well at least I hope that was them going out.


(although the best episode was the season 2 announcement, it wasn't entertaining anywhere else)

Same. I've honestly never really watched anything but ZP, Escape to the Movies (even though I don't like moviebob) and an odd Rebecca Mayes here and there.

Edit: OH! Extra Credits is superb.

Also a couple of episodes of Unskippable, but I didn't enjoy their humor.

Like with all the Jon Etheridge shows, I watched the first episode, didn't find it funny, and gave up.

I'd replace all of them with anything so long as it's funny!

83% against? Of course, it's Russ Pitts's baby, so you've got a better chance of seeing me take a vow of chastity than anyone at the Escapist willingly admitting Game Dogs is lame.

Watched about 4-5 episodes out of curiosity, the only ones that made me laugh even a bit were the launch party because of no actual Game Dogs dogs, and the Hand of Fate because it had a lot of Bob.

I never liked it. I gave the first few episodes a shot but then I gave up when I realised that the core problems with the series simply aren't fixable. I refuse to watch the latest episode because me clicking that link means one more hit for Game Dogs which might send the message to the creators that their series is popular. I don't want to send that message.

Having said that, if others like it, hey whatever, but I don't see the appeal except maybe for very, very young people (and I guess the latest episode screws that up).

I watched seven episodes of Game Dogs and they were all terrible. Its gone past it's first five episodes without improving it's quality or at least being liked by at least a small amount of posters on the Escapist so thats really an obvious sign that the series needs to be put down, but unfortinatly it seems to be a case of creator favoratism as Russ Pitts seems to be unwilling to see the series numerous flaws and cancel it and until he see that it sucks Game Dogs is just going to keep on being made unfortinatly.
