Are you going to see this movie?
I think it looks good, but the stupidity of people commenting on the video on youtube is unbelievable. "Dude this is totally real" Also do you think this footage is real? It's basically paranormal activity but on the moon.

I'm unsure, but I think it might be entertaining. I doubt I will see it in the theater, but I might chck it out when it comes out on DVD.

Dunno yet, it looks pretty freaky though, which is a definite plus considering how it's almost impossible for horror movies to be scary anymore >.>

I'll probably see it, I doubt it'll be scary but a man can dream right?

You mean you DON'T like bullshit jump scares that are obvious by the heavy breathing, and the music getting louder then softer before stopping altogether before the jump itself?

I recently watched insidious and thought it was a joke. I didn't get scared once, and I don't like horror films.

We're paranormal activity on the moon.
We carry a video camera harpoon
but there ain't no ghosts
so we make shit up
and sing a mooning tune

It really does just look like paranormal activity [HEADING=2]... IN SPACE!!![/HEADING]
so I don't think I'm going to see it. It just doesn't look that interesting.

It involves space and more than likely aliens. So I couldn't give a flying fuck what genre it is, so I'm certain I will love this. I love all things sci-fi.

I lost interest when i heard it was PG-13...
Yeah, god forbid there's a decent movie that doesn't contain violence or sex or profanity....

it shows that profit is more important than creativity to the studio....

No. It won't be scary, instead, I bet it will be based on jump scares. Why? Because it will never happen to you. Are you ever going to the moon? Chances are, nope.
Way to crush my dreams of lunar exploration dude.

Anyway I am so sick of fucking hand held shakycam bullshit cinematography films. Is there a tripod/dolly shortage or something? When I get home I'm going to watch some Terrence Mallick or Tarkovsky to sooth my nerves.

Well, it has been that way for a little over a decade now. And as I said, you don't need violence/sex/profanity to make a good movie. Perfect example is absolutely everything by Pixar. Good movies, incredibly creative (More so than movies that win the thousands of awards every year, which usually retell the same story in a different format) and they look fabulous for their times (Hell, Finding Nemo still looks amazing on BR).

I'm going to wait and see what Moviebob thinks about this one. My GF and I think that Apollo 18 can go one of two ways: it's either going to be REALLY REALLY good or REALLY, REALLY, REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY bad. So I'll just wait and see for that one.

As for the poll:

I liked Cloverfield, but that was about it. I'm sick of the whole "found footage" thing, especially when they try pretending it's real. And secret Apollo mission? Didn't Michael Bay do that already this year?

I think it might just be shaky cam getting on my nerves, it's just so lazy. *Looks at Battle: L.A.* You were the worst movie that should have been awesome...

Bacon.

I've only seen a few adverts for this. Looks OK, might drag someone along to watch it.

Cloverfield was good. But found footage is ridiculous, paranormal activity was semi believable. They can't claim that Apollo 18 is real footage because it's unbelievable, aliens on the moon is just silly.
