Poll: Are Girls more Complicated than Boys?

I was perusing the Advice forum and reading through Scott Pilgrim again so I guess that's where this question is coming from... Oh right, poll time, people.

Are girls more complicated than boys? Do girls have more complex patterns of thought and more complicated emotional reactions than boys? Are boys truly simplistic creatures or is this idea of girls being more emotionally complicated stem from the inability of one sex to fully understand the other? Perhaps this idea of complex girls is more of a social construction than a physical attribution?

Anyway, the poll is all set up. If you post, make sure to include your gender.

Nope. Both are equally weird and bizarre. But since we´ve lived like one sex our entire life, we think we make perfect sense. But seen from an outside perspective, you really, really, don´t. I bet women think men are hard to understand, just like men think women are hard to understand. Any ladies want to confirm mt theory?

It's not that women are more complicated it's just they are more willing to put all their crazy out where people can see it. Men just hold it in so they don't seem as complicated.

Having dated both, I can honestly say it depends on what angle you're looking at. Guys are easy to understand and hard to get to the same level with emotionally. Girls tend to be the exact opposite.

Both sexes are pretty damn complicated. I've met girls who are just all about getting laid and are pretty horrible people when it comes to the Emotional Stuff. I've also seen Guys wiffle waffle when it comes to a girl and lead the girl on for quite a while.

It really varies, but for the most part I think it's pretty much equal.

Women are easier. All you need is a balaclava, a bottle of Chloroform and access to a dark alley. Men on the other hand now they are hard. You need alot more Chloroform to knock them out (seriously have you ever priced that stuff), plus they are alot heavier to drag into the alley. Plus if they wake up you have a real fight on your hands. So anyway yes women are easier.

Moreover, there's too much variation within members of the same gender than to make meaningful comparisons between the two genders.

Genetically, I think male humans are more complicated, having a Y chromosome. Though the mechanism behind X-inactivation has yet to be determined, so I guess it depends on what you define "complicated" as. Does having more (types of) genes make male humans more complicated?

People are complex. People. There aren't nearly as many differences in the genders as people think, at least not in my personal experience. But we carry around so much baggage. Societal constraints. Personal history. Personal biases. Likes. Dislikes. All of it very much individualized and very little of it due to some biological difference in the sexes.

It totally depends on the person.

Girls tend to be a bit more complicated...but that's mostly just social formation telling them to be complex. I don't think most girls get the idea on their own to give subtle signals and hints to guys (and get mad when they don't get the message through), or to dump their BFs just to see how much he loves them. That's society/magazines/peers telling them that's what's expected of them.

And for guys....well, society/peers/internet tells them they need to be hulking masculine sex addicts, so that's why many guys are.

If that social formation stuff is done away with, both sexes are equally complex. At that point it'll just depend on the person.

I mean, most of the girls I know aren't complex at all. And pretty much all of the guys I know are not sex craving apes. Not surprisingly, none of them believe in or give a damn about media/social gender stereotype labeling crapola.

Speaking as an emotionally inept man I think women are way more complicated, a lot of them (or at least the ones I have met) let emotions blind rational reasoning way too much that I'm like "Does this make sense to any of you" and girls are way more complicated I have heard girls say that they don't even understand what they're thinking, never met a boy like that.

Like the one thing I will never get is girls like boys that are pricks, I mean I understand the fun of being/being around a sarcastic asshole, most of my friends are sarcastic assholes but a proper true dislikeable asshole is just not fun to be around.

Not particularly. Just understand that in general women like to be more secretive of certain things and more expressive of emotions and that guys are the opposite. It only seems like they are to you because you being a guy makes you see women as a guy would see them.
