It is difficult to infer tone from an internet exchange, and you never know if the person on the other end is smirking or chain-yanking. With that understanding, I ask: are you serious? Are you from El Paso, or are you talking about seeing them on the road back in the At The Drive-in days?
When they were in at-the drive in. My brother booked shows for a club they played in in our town many times. I'm actually in the one armed scissor video for like 1 or 2 seconds. Look for the ridiculously tall guy standing behind the stage. Obviously I remember getting to hang out with guys like that, though I highly doubt they'd remember me.

So yeah, more complex, here.
...have you seen me post in the VN group chat?
Nope. Can you remember a time when I posted in it?
Yes. You called Marik a Flying Ape General when he admitted he hadn't installed Tsukihime, yet.

But, you answered my question anyway. You didn't see mine or Desk's freakouts or outpouring during Symphonic Rain. Or the massive heartfelt conversations about it, but those were concealed behind spoiler boxes.

I just wanted to point out why I started laughing when you brought up "swirl of emotions creating a tangled mess of complexity" and appeared to attribute it solely to girls.
Then I missed what must have been the only time I'd have seen a swirl of emotions creating a tangled mess of complexity in males.
Yep. Men usually hide stuff like that, including from themselves if necessary. It's faggy to do otherwise...is how I'm sure it would be described by most any random guy here in the US.

I'm tempted to explain, but for all I know, you might want to play Symphonic Rain, since it has rhythm game sections and no sex.

I've come to believe that both sexes have a certain amount of.. shall we say, "subconcious knowledge"? Instict? Let's just say that there are certain things that a man would consider to be "common sense" that a woman would be completely oblivious to, and the converse of that is true as well.

In short, men make sense to other men, because we both have the same hormones and instincts. Women do not, at least at first, make sense to men because there is a difference in instict and hormones.

And while some instincts, such as the will to survive, are common to both genders, there are some instincts that are unique to males and some that are unique to females. Naturally, this means that someone of the opposite gender will be slightly more difficult for you to relate to. It's not as if men are more or less complicated than women, it's just that men who are still inexperienced with women have difficulty understanding them because they naturally assume that the woman will have certain kinds of instincts or mindsets, when quite frankly she does not.

It goes the other way too. I'm not trying to say that this is only true for men to women. Women often make assumptions about men that simply aren't true, and this also leads to its own complications.

Sounds like a better idea.
And I don't hide my emotions from my self. They just tend to be next to none.

I'm writing a review of it now, should be up in the next week or so. Wonderful game, though it's a ***** to get first set up.

And you never struck me as being all that shallow. But I don't know you personally, so no reason for me to push the matter.

There might be something there, but its drowning in a sea of anger, frustration and hopelessness. So all I can actually feel is those three feelings.

It does? I find it straight forward as it can get.
And I gotta go digging to find any of that. Otherwise its just being glad to be alive.

I'll still insist you're selling yourself short. Unless you're just really, really, really good at hiding being mopey and angsty...but only on the internet.

Come to think of it, I think there's been, like...

*glances at post numbers*

...a hundred or so different competing definitions of "complicated," anyway. I suspect we're using two different ones, so this has probably turned circular.

The G-Spot isn't an enigma! it's a tight cluster of nerve endings related to the same nerve bands that perceive sensation from the clitoris, located a half inch to an inch and a half inside the upper part of the vag...
Wait... I see what you did there...

Men and women are both human beings, and human beings are all complex. Next question.

There's a quote that's relevant to this. "Whether men and women are equal (which they are) is a social issue, whether they are identical is a scientific one"

I find women to be more emotionally complex than men most of the time.

well yeah of coarse they are. girls tend to think more about stuff then guys do. that being said their views on stuff and reactions to certain situations differs greatly than a guy.

in short their thought process is more in depth, while guys are more straight forward.

Yeah, I've always had an issue with that. Christianity and it's own bible seem to be at odds. Christians themselves say that all men and women are created equal, but the bible states that Eve was made from the rib of Adam. Doesn't that mean that: a.) Without men there would be no women. and b.) That one whole woman is equal to only one single rib from a mans chest?

That and the bible has quite a few laws against women holding any authority, which seems to not apply to christian women. So why is the law of god negotiable when it comes to accepting the equality of women, but the right to choose which sex you have relations with must be adamant?

.......that got kinda off track.

OT: I think men are more complex than women because men have craftier ways of getting what they want like cars and money, women only have the one trick and it's VERY easy to predict.

They're equally complex, but I very different ways, just to make things difficult for the both of us.

I think men are often more comfortable with greater *directness* than women are. That's not the same thing as complexity.

Since the female brain physically develops faster than the male one, young girls and women on average probably have the capacity for more complex and nuanced thought patterns than young boys and men. Though they'll level with age.

Social expectations on gender roles might also force girls to navigate more complex forms of non-verbal communication at an earlier age, whereas boys are perhaps still allowed to "run wild" to a greater degree.

But ultimately it comes down to the individual, not whatever gender it happens to belong to. And what's "complicated" - i.e. as in hard to understand, wrap one's mind around, and fully comprehend - is ultimately subjective anyway.

Everyone is exactly as complicated as they are regardless of gender.

I won't say gender isn't a factor in the complexity of an individual as it surely has some effect, but I don't think the effect of gender on complexity is necessarily going to be significant when compared to other factors.
