Just give me any thoughts you have. Personally, I hold to the idea that any act is forgivable, with the exception of first degree murder. To me, once you kill someone else, planned it out and executed them, you have crossed the line between human and monster.

EDIT: since people seem to not understand, I'm talking about first degree murder. Planned, thought about, and finally, done.

If someone murders someone truly evil, i will not only forgive them, i will praise them.
In any otehr case, i'd just prefer to see them executed/locked away for life.

Bin Laden was assasinated, and i have nothign bad to say about the guys doing that.
If someone had killed Joseph Fritzel, Charles Manson, Anders Behring Breivik, or anyone like them, i would consider them heroes.

it depends. If its in defense of your self or your family, or if it is the work of someone who is tripping on some bad drugs(Still pretty bad for taking those drugs, but if they didnt know what they were doing...) or if its because they have a serious mental problem(though id argue that most killers are mad).

premeditated is pretty darn bad, and a crime of passion isnt much better. And how do you define what a soldier does? Some people would call it murder, especially if the soldier was on the losing side. Especially if they werent fighting for a recognised country(like a rebel)

It all depends on who you kill and why.
My mom once told me about a friend she had who murdered a man because he had raped his five year old niece(iirc). Totally justified in my opinion.

Firstly it depends on the circumstances. Secondly, it depends if the person has changed since they murdered.

Basically I would say yes, dependant on factors like their motivations, whether they regret what they did and so forth. People change, and I think even the worst of people should get at least one second chance. Like Vegeta; he blew up a whole planet and nobody really seemed to mind.

Cheshire the Cat said:
As everyone else has said you really cant just make a blanket statement that murder is so cut and dry.
Reasons do matter. As someone has already said, killing a child rapist is totally justified. Hell not just justified but something to be proud of.
So unless you know the exact circumstances of each case then its impossible to judge.
True blanket statements aren't any use. Circumstances always need to be taken into account.

It would depend on the context of the murder, and also how the person had behaved since the murder.

No, murder is not forgivable. homicide could be, depending on the circumstances, but murder is not. To clarify, homicide is the act of killing another human being, which could be self-defense, defense of a friend, defense of the innocent, war, ect. Murder is killing another human being in cold blood, and that is unforgivable.

Hitler murdered a lot of people.
Can we stop a lot of murdering by trying murdering him?
If yes, then it justify murdering him.

Things that are OK in my book:
1. Self-defense
2. Revenge acts that are somewhat justifiable but still should be punished ... hey ... that's what law & order is for ... screw vigilantes (Killing a rapist ... but NOT a cop/soldier for doing his/her/its (robots are people too!) job in the line of duty ... or killing a man who only killed another in self-defense)
3. Freak accidents where you might be directly or indirectly irresponsible for the death of someone.

I really don't believe in second chance and reformation for murderers. Sure, reformation might actually work. They might actually fit in their community thanks to the money and professionals who will help a few, but the idea of working with a known murderer whose life somewhat 'improved' at the cost of an innocent man/woman is disgusting.

If I kill a serial killer am I a monster? No, I killed one to save more and maybe revenged a few.

If I killed a little kid, then I am a monster.

It just depends on circumstances.

All crimes are forgivable, all and any, at least in my eyes, however I would never condone crime in ANY form.
I believe that if you hold yourself and everyone else to a standard then you should hold no exceptions, if you have committed a crime then no amount of justification is excusable, because once you start adding caveats and loopholes then where do you stop?
(If this seems troll-ish or flame bait-y I'm sorry, but this is just my opinion after all)
