However your outright hatred of digital, not steam,
*Facehoofs*

Do you read my posts? My outright hatred from the beginning has always been about the forced online stuff that Steam does! ALWAYS and my last post specifically went into a lot of detail about it and you just basically threw that out the window... Not a single part of this post of yours mention that really... It's like you didn't read all of that...

I've NEVER hated digital. I love digital stuff honestly. I have The Sims Complete Collection, Halo CE, Minecraft, and Stronghold Crusaders digitally on my computer. All of them! I have nothing against digital stuff...

My hatred for Steam has always been the FORCED ONLINE RELATED STUFF! Always been. Please, I beg you, read my posts... And I'm not being mean or anything but I seriously feel insulted now cause it honestly does feel like you are ignoring my posts now...

I have been reading your posts, nothing is forced online, I've already said that really plainly, so I'm not sure what you want me to tell you other than, your info is wrong?

In my first post, I was doing a lot of stuff at a hospital due to family problems, no wifi, logged into my account in offline and played Sonic Generations, Serious Sam 3 for hours. Did the same at my friends house, played Torchlight 2 local with his computer via wifi but his internet wasn't installed. There was no internet involved with either of these events and I could access my games, you do not, in any way, require a constant internet connection unless you are playing a game that is multiplayer and therefore requires it for it to function which makes sense.

So- whatever man, I was reading your posts, I already answered and thought of it as a non-issue and was on to discussing other things, really I had no idea you are still on about that. I don't care that you don't like steam, that's fine hate what you want, like what you want, but I'm just not seeing this issue you're talking about, not in the many years me or others have used it. I had more issue with 360 denying me access to games in the past when I was online but their servers were down, Geometry Wars wouldn't go out of demo mode and I believe there was a platformer that also required online for some reason. Either way.

Again, I'm already done with this as you really don't seem to either be listening and have been out right insulting me with name calling so please end this civilly as you can after what has already been thrown in my face. I've not said a single thing against you or your likes, infact I supported them, just stated there's flaws with it and digital. If that's offensive, I'm sorry but that's just how things go.

This is why I called you a fanboy... I told you the negative facts about Steam yet you say my info is wrong and nothing is forced online...

So Steam doesn't force you to install it onto your computer?
So Steam doesn't force you to create a Steam account online before installing that Steamed game?
So Steam doesn't force you to log online to register your game online, also before installing that Steamed game?
So Steam doesn't force you to update that game, if there updates available?

^
That is all pretty much forced online stuff actually.

Edit: I'm gonna replace my post with a spoiler tag to talk about this convo.
You insist on talking about steam, I'm simply replying to what you have said, I've tried to chat about console in comparison to say "things are similar" and you take it as an attack against the console for some reason and decide to insult me because you find it insulting I talk about steam, when you have established it as the topic.

If I can't talk about similar things I've found in things I own, and I can't talk about steam which you have established as the topic, what CAN I talk about without you insulting me? Or crying bias?

I'm not interested in conversing with you when you can't handle talking about it, so take this as a final response if you will but if you set up at topic, then insult for talking about it, it's left me unable to reply so enjoy your day, you're clearly not in this to talk about anything other than why you hate something and not even allow comparisons and feel I should agree or something.

I've been nothing but nice and just trying to discuss which is something I enjoy as I've stated numerous times, I like tech, consoles, handhelds, PC, software. You insist you hate 1 thing and insist on talking about that.

I don't, I like many platforms and they all have their pluses and minus's, so you can sit there and insult something all you want because that's fine, do what you want it's cool, but I'm not gonna reply if all you can do in response to a discussion is insult me.

Have a nice day.

That is NOT what you said :)
"My hatred for Steam has always been the FORCED ONLINE RELATED STUFF! "
What do you want me to assume from this statement? I assumed that you're required to go online to play your games, which IS wrong and which I clearly outlined. You're getting mad at me for misunderstanding and stating what I thought you said, insulting me again for no reason, what is your problem?

As I said I'm not defending steam, I'm discussing digital, YOU are talking about steam how should my replies be if you don't want me to chat about what you are at this moment talking about? You just asked questions about steam, should I instead answer if they were questions about a microwave? Because I'm sick of your responses turning into childish insults because you're not communicating what you mean and don't like me talking about the topic that you have selected. If you want to talk about another platform, then do so, I have origin, I have uplay, a variety of consoles if you want to talk about them instead, feel free, YOU are keeping the topic about steam, I'm simply replying. Want to talk about the benefits of disc vs cartridge? I can do that too, you are choosing to keep talking about steam, I've even tried talking about console and you feel like it's an attack, it's just comparing which this topic is about discs vs digital.

So Steam doesn't force you to install it onto your computer?
No, you can choose to not install it or the game. Alternatively you can register the games on the creators version of Steam- I have deadspace 2, got it on steam, registered it on origin and can play off either without having the other open. So no not all games require steam, many you can find on GOG even, but yes if you are looking to install a game that says "Requires steam to play" you are going to need to, like any other digital service minus GoG.

So Steam doesn't force you to create a Steam account online before installing that Steamed game?
Uh, only if it says requires steam, many games require a digital service: Origin, Steam, Uplay, it's how you verify your serial number and ownership.

So Steam doesn't force you to log online to register your game online, also before installing that Steamed game?
No, you put in a serial and you're done, there's no registration process such as adding in your info.

So Steam doesn't force you to update that game, if there updates available?
No, they don't. You can tick off any game to say do not keep this game up to date.

These are things you can tie to console as well
Xbox requires ONLY xbox software to play. Xbox will not play games that are for competitors despite the actual game being on the same system

An xbox is required to play the game, an xbox live account is required to play online or purchase xbox live games.

If you need to update a game you are required to be online, some games require day one updates like New Vegas or they are unplayable.

If you want to play the game online you're forced to update your game

^ This isn't retaliation, this is just saying console has similar things and it's just things that come with having modern hardware. Most of these don't apply to previous gen like PS2 which is nice.
