Okay, this issue again.

Harumph, harumph, where to begin.

Alright, might as well get to the point and say I do not believe kids are truly getting any worse than they already were. Are the annoying ones getting more vocal. Abso-fucking-lutely! Guys, extremely young children are going to be slightly stupid and as we all know, parents are supposed to teach them how to act, but some parents are shitheads and some kids, even when told, just don't give a shit yet. As for older children and teenagers, things begin to sorta thin out. There are still plenty of shits and then just there are just kids you don't like for whatever reasons. And honestly, I don't really fancy when people have to use their own experiences.

"A bunch of teenagers tried to rob me!" Yes, they tried to rob you...because it's not like young punks and criminals didn't exist in your generation.

"My brother is an annoying shit!" Yes, your brother probably is. Hes your brother. He probably thinks your an asshole too.

Yeah, yeah, these kind of kids exist, but so do their adult counterparts, which were probably apart of your generation. They had to start somewhere.

Oh, and to all the teenagers and others who say, "I'm apart of this generation and I hate it, we're getting dumber, I'm not like them, blah, blah, blah" Just stop. Yeah, maybe you do think you're fellow mates are asshole and douchbags but there are more than plenty of adults here, right now, who hate the people around them. You don't necessarily hate your generation, you just hate people, or at least certain people right? And you're also trying to seem more intelligent, right? Yeah, you're not as smart as you think you are. Then again, neither is anyone else. Oh and stop with the whole "My generation does this, I do that, my generation does this I do etc, etc, etc," shut up. CONGRATS! You have values and opinions! Join the fucking club.

Lets be honest here: The only thing that truly separates a child from and adult is learning how to act appropriately in public. You may still do considerably juvenile things, you may be a complete fucking asshole, you may want to scream out when something royally screws over your day, and you may want to punch the guy next to you. How many times have you ever acted on this emotion? Maybe a few, but you might have looked pretty stupid if it wasn't for something quite significant. A child may not care about the ramifications of their actions or simply understand them. They just do. Once they learn that fully, they're in the clear.

And finally, I want to say that your childhood, generation, whatever you want to call it wasn't as great you think it was. You were not the best child, plenty of you acknowledge this, if you were, you probably wouldn't have had to be beaten. And if your parents didn't beat you, I guarantee your parents had some ace in the hole to make you behave; do as they wanted, whatever. Beating doesn't necessarily make someone a better person; it just makes them more obedient to their parents. Sure, they may value authority a bit more, but thats only because they're scared about what mommy and daddy will say. Plenty people respect their parents, where beaten by them, and fucking hate the police, and other forms of authority. Now, yes, I do believe children need some forms of punishment, but don't ***** when they start screaming because what else do you expect.

And don't forget the media. This generation is criticized for this music, that show, etc. It's not like you didn't have a bunch of shitty music and bands in your generation tons of people loved. Maybe you didn't notice them because you were too busy listening to what you liked. And it's not like there wasn't mindless dribble that people enjoyed. You know, people seem to forget that for that shit existed in their time, or maybe they were too busy using what they enjoyed. You also seem to forget something for this generation: For the number of people who like something, there are more than plenty who hate it.

So, in conclusion to something you probably barely read (not that I blame you, I mean holy shit why did I go into such pointless detail) the world is as shitty as it was yesterday, except this is a different form of shit.

TL,DR: Kids suck, you suck, I suck, and we all live on a huge mountain of suck.

I blame the parents, anyway.

But in the past every generation said something similar. But this time I think they have a point. It's still the parent's fault.

Have you seen what Sasha Grey reading to kids caused?

If elementary kids recognized her, it's the parent's fault. There was no other way those kids would look up to her as a porn star.

Other than that, if those parents don't want kids to be exposed to people who had sex, they are hypocrites because they did it anyway.

We have hats and shirts.

I hate that music argument. The 70's had crap music, the 80's had crap music, the 90's had music you can thing it's great and crap at the same time.

People tend to forget your musical tastes change with time if you used to like crap music.

Ha!

You make me laugh human.

If you've ever studied history, you'd know its always been this way. Unless you're a believer in super-strict principles that were outdated 50 years ago, then nothing is new with them.

Part of it is just that with every new generation, kids and teenagers have to rebel against the social norms, and thus social norms change with every generation.

Plus, with advancements of developmental and child psychology, medical science, growing technology, and infinitely new learning resources (the internet, mass media-which isn't a major problem), children have so much to draw upon to build upon the last generation.

No. It just seems that way, because as you get older the people younger than you seem to be more and more foolish. You think "was I really that annoying and stupid?" and dissociate yourself in that way.

The idiots and morons get disproportionate media coverage, though I do think that there are some seriously horrible kids at younger ages. That's what you get when the worst of Y generation's chavs have children, who turn out to be just as, if not more monstrous than their parents. Some are far beyond help, whether psychopathy is the result of genetics or a toxic upbringing, or most likely both...

Everyone who says kids are getting BETTER is a complete moron. Kids these days are out of control.
I mean, I'm 21 and yet I feel old already. They scream and can't converse at a normal volume. they get all up in your face and pull out knives because they think you aren't gonna kick their sorry asses for being disrespectful, insufferable little bitches. And they start crying when you do. they are stupider than anyone who I've seen since primary school, and DUDE I have seen some morons in my life. Like that kid who had to retry second grade. The problem is not that they're getting worse. The problem they're not getting better. I mean you could explain the ignorance of past kids with lack of knowledge, but now they have all knowledge they want from the net, and are still total retards. But that goes for adults too, so whatever.

Fact: Ask the majority of kids what they think and they'll say school is boring. The only reason they were better behaved in olden times is because they'd literally get smacked around if they acted like dipshits.[/quote

And believe it or not, they act like bigger dipshits when the teacher's back is turned is corporal punishment is implemented. It in theory should deter bad behavior, but us humans have this thing called "spiteful behavior", so it rarely works out that way.

Stopped reading there. Seriously, potty mouths? You're the one who needs to grow up, not them.
"I don't use the term 'potty mouth' because it makes me feel all grown up and mature."

Also, I think scum such as the Jamie Bulger killers and Edlington torturers should be sterilised and castrated to prevent them from reproducing. Those cases of violent psychopathy are likely genetic.

I say that assumption is overly overestimated. Though I dont think parents being harder on their kids is something that shouldnt hapen regardless.

I cannot speak for children of today compared to children of yesterday. I look away for ten years and cannot begin to fathom where to start and end. Are they stupid? Probably. Are they disrespectful? Most likely. Do they do drugs? Not as well as they did forty years ago.

One thing I have noticed is my outlook towards them. If a child is in the supermarket screaming non-stop, I will feel gratified when their respective parent smacks them upside the head. I did not feel nearly as satisfied with this in the past as I do today. Perhaps these days it has become a treat, opposed to yesteryear where parents had more sense.

Isn't "outgrowing immaturity" part of growing up?
Eventually kids would understand that saying "FUCK!" in public is really unacceptable or that sometimes they shouldn't be playing a game that is not meant for them.
Maybe this generation is taken longer to really get it.
