The second straw was finding out how young people began to have sex at. There are no words to describe how disgusted I am about that.

The final straw is when people confuse love with lust. Two people in love with each other permanently for the rest of their lives, that is undoubtedly love. People that have sex with one person one time, few months or so down the line have sex with someone new and repeats said process several times in their life with the primary objective being only to say "I've screwed this many chicks." That's lust and anyone that actually does that needs to be killed.

Since then I've abolished all sex from my existance. Including anything sex related such as hugging, kissing and so forth. I don't allow people to get near me and hug me or even kiss me on the cheek. I'd sooner kill myself than allow corruption to seep into my soul and drag me into a pit of hell that is called the human race.

As a side note I understand that there are many forms of corruption, that I'm well aware of them and abolish them as well.

And as a on topic statement. The majority of people that actually say they're asexual are lying. I'd say one in every few thousand. I would even go as far to say one in every tens of thousands.

Remember, this is a forum that caters to a very specific, very small subset of the overall population (gamers). So, it is entirely possible that there are more asexual people here than in the general population.

Also, why do people give a crap about what sexuality a person calls themselves? I mean really, why does it matter if I call myself "pansexual", "heterosexual", or "asexual", especially here of all places?

I think some of them are telling the truth.

I think some are using it as a reason for virginity/single/unattractive/whatever.
I think some are somewhere in the mindset of "Asexuality is 'edgy,' maybe if I identify with it, people will see me as edgy as well."

Some of the people here who claim to be asexual very likely are. But as you said, its a rather small minority. I don't think that the Escapist was a community that attracted asexual people (not that asexuality is a bad thing, but you get my drift).

Sex is not corruption. Enclosing oneself into an anti-sexual bubble does not make a person asexual, nor does being repulsed by sex. As I said before, one person's experiences should not be used as if they were universal examples.

I think there are enough factors that could explain the number of asexuals who post in those kinds of threads (as stated above: the discussion in those threads, and the kind of website the Escapist is) but I do think that there are a lot of people who claim to be asexual, who probably aren't. Not necessarily here, but definitely elsewhere.

Besides, regardless of how many people who say they are asexual actually are, I don't see that it's anyone's business but theirs. Plus, people are always saying how fluid sexuality is. Just because I might develop a sexual relationship later in my life, doesn't change the fact that I have zero interest in sex at this point in my life.

At the risk of pissing off every asexual in here, no, most of the people claiming to be asexual are simply using one of the clauses to justify their stance.

"lack of interest in sex" is the main listed reason that people are Asexual in here.

That being said, I'm sure only 2/10 people using that clause truly lack an interest in sex, and the rest simply don't think about it and/or aren't getting any. (If you get defensive on this point you are just proving me correct.)

For instance, I could easily use the broad term of asexual for myself if I cared to because I lack any interest in sex right now BECAUSE I'm more focused on my schooling and hopefully getting into the airforce. When in all actuality, I'm heterosexual.

Humans aren't meant to do anything. Evolution isn't pushing humans towards perfection, nor any other species.
I'm not sure how old you are, but overpopulation has be a problem for a long long long time.
Who are you to decide how people should live there lives, but it is adorable that you think people who have sex for fun should be killed.
Abolishing sex from your life doesn't mean you're asexual. That just means you don't have sex.

If someone says they're asexual, who am I to say they aren't? I'd have to an asshole to doubt their motives. I don't think anyone considers it "Cool" to be asexual. I think the more commonly held belief (although just as stupid) is that cool = many sexual encounters.

That said, if someone is young, and considers themself to be asexual, they could very well change their mind in a few years. To be honest, I don't think anyone has a real sense of identity until they're in their 30s or so.

Definitely not as high as people want you to imagine. Between not accounting for demisexuals (who often think they're asexual) and misunderstanding what asexuality actually is (you're not "asexual" between partners, you know), there's a lot fewer asexuals here than you might think.

Honestly, the act of sex really kind of grosses me out. Whenever I think about it, I just get uncomfortable and a little disturbed. It's not for me, and that's fine.

It's kind of rude to think somebody's lying about something like their sexuality, by the way. Even if they are, so what? What does it matter to you? It's their life, their body, and (if they are lying for whatever reason, which I don't think is as common as most people seem to believe) their choice. I do believe that at last some of the people who claim asexuality are asexual. The reason being? I'm asexual myself. Yeah, yeah, I know, but I have legitimately never been attracted to another person of either gender in my entire life. Now, I'm only 23 (just turned 23, in fact), so, obviously, I could find someone who turns me on/I am attracted to for resons of the person and not the form. Chances of this are slim as I, as I said, do not find people to be attractive (in any form). Rather, I do not find the human form (or humans themselves (personalities and such)) to be attractive. I have no sex drive. At all. I can't even look at a person and decide whether or not they are attractive. Anything above "Passable/Average" looks pretty much the same to me. Hell, I only have a perception of "Ugly" because of cultural upbringing, so I don't tend to call things/people ugly because I can't tell if they are or not, just I don't call things/people pretty or other such things because, like I said, I can't tell.

And yes, people have suggested that I just have a weird kink. I have looked at pretty much every common and most of the uncommon kinks. They do nothing for me. I just, I don't know, don't give a shit about sex, sexual relations, sexual things, etc. I also don;t care much about interpersonal relationships in general, so that probably hurts my cause a bit. I do believe part of this is due to my near misanthropic nature (I'm only social because I need to be to make a living), so it is entirely possible that my hate for humanity* is just so powerful that it is outweighing any naural tendencies I have towards sexual attraction, Unlikely, but entirely possible.

*I am aware that I am part of humanity, and would therefore need to be factored in. Well, let's just say I'm not to fond of myself, either.

This is enlightening. I can now refine what I identify myself as, seeing as I don't find people (physically) sexually arousing, but I find situations and personalities arousing. I've never found people (physically) sexually arousing, and when people talk about models being sexy, I just pretend that they're talking about aesthetics mostly, because without an applied personality I can't make a judgement on whether or not someone's sexy. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to view people like others view people. But then I remember that it's fine that I am what I am.

Pretty much this. The vast majority of people who claim asexualism aren't, but have convinced themselves they are so they don't feel bad about being unable to get laid. It's not exactly an uncommon reaction to that kind of thing.

That's not to say that there aren't asexuals, simply that it's a much smaller number than it actually appears.
