So the economy of the world is going to hell right now, there is not jobs, money is really short right now, almost every country is in crisis.

My question is, 20 years from now, are we going to look back to this moment in time and said that define our generation.(sorry if you find difficult to read english is not my first languaje)

Depends on how old you are.
Personally, I'd like to think of myself as a late 90's kid and ignore the pop culture and social events that have occurred in the past decade or so...

Still, we're more going to be seen as the first generation in a post-9/11 world, at least in the US.

no the world is a much different place with unions and scocial assistance, Im just starting University and Im not to worried because the econoomy will rebound by the time of done. No body realy know what the economy will do so its very upredictible to an extent, but it will bound back in a couple years.

Personally I think at this point, things aren't as bad as they could be and it'll probably take a long time but things are going to improve. I'm a university student and in my early 20's so I don't know that much about the in-depth logistics but as far as I've been able to tell the main things affected by the recession have been petrol (though that could just be coincidence considering it uses finite resources) and house prices. Food prices and other things may have gone up slightly but it's nothing unmanageable

As long as people do there part to help it should be ok. People need to start investing in local buisness or companys that will create the most amount of work.

Nope.

The stock market is already on the rebound. The AAA -> AA+ thing doesn't have ANYTHING to do with stocks, but people panicked anyway. Why? People (generally speaking) are stupid. However, as people realize this - and as people realize that the plunge just made it an awesome time to buy stocks, things will recover.

It might take another fucking year **grumble grumble** but things will recover. Again.

The economy was just looking good too. **sigh**

People will remember us as a generation that couldn't decide what we wanted. In simple terms the young were distracted, the old were angry, and those of us in the middle were fighting to stay out of debt. Our children will look back and sigh as their new robotic overlords further oppress them.

I'm going to go with "who the hell knows?" Our world leaders are, for the most part, children in grown up bodies. Our form of government has less to do with who knows what's for the greater good than it does with "who can argue the loudest." And yeah, things seem.... pretty shitty right now.

With things in such a chaotic state, who's to say what the hell could happen. Maybe things get better, maybe they get worse. And I honestly have no idea which way it'll go, or how we'll look back on it in retrospect.

Just an FYI, I'm nearing my final year of my degree and was told the same thing. "The economy will fix itself by the time you get out", so far it really hasn't. It's not in free fall anymore, but it's far from fixed.

I'm part of the Millennial Generation according to Wiki (~1982-1991), so we already have a name. As the dates implies, most of the generation weren't children when the recession hit.
