For me, griefing of any kind is right up there with beating baby seals. (At least kill the adult ones instead!)

I remember when I played Battlefield 2142 even as a sniper I loved getting into the battle and didn't care if I died because of my lack of powerful short ranged weaponry. When I spotted an enemy on the field I'd just zoom and fire right in the open area. I hate camping, you have to wait for the enemy to show up just to fire, miss, then get shot and question how you got killed from way up there or something like that.

talent is overrated. i'd rather have 50 kills and 3 people rage quit because of me then prance around with 3 kills and 34 deaths. Also, if you HAVE talent, then you wouldn't be mad at campers, you'd see them like i do, free kills. take out a few snipers with a pistol and then ill hear what you have to say.[\b]

Or with a knife...

i mean at the snipers range. knifing them in the back is all to easy.

camping is a legit, period. just like how any and all weapons are legit, any and all perks are legit, and any and all techniques are legit, any and all strategies are legit.
Is that it? or do you want to explain that statement a little?
I think that guns like the m16 are n00bish because they take little to no skill. it basically turns a FPS into a point and click game, i do not include snipers in this because they take skill because they are only effective at a certain range and quick, and no scoping are pure luck and if you dispute that you are simply wrong. whereas if you have an m16 you have the finger of god from any range and any point on any map, especially with stopping power. totally breaks the balance of the game
Same for n00b tubes.
m16? isn't that a basic weapon? right next to the m4a1.

I try, but I can't do it.I have to run around.

Though, it still works. I usually come first in games.

I love sniping enemies. Nothing is more fun than some unsuspecting raider or mutant getting a bullet straight to the head. And nothing more satisfying really than watching them fall one by one. Well.. at least in my opinion.

I have yet to play any online games, so I'm limited to doing this on games like Fallout or Borderlands.

Whoops, i answered the poll before reading your post. If i had read it before, i would have pressed "no". Because, in Battlefield 2 (not BC) i most of the time play as a sniper. And most of my time i sprint to a point, plant a claymore to cover my back ,and start killing other snipers. And rarely i get a shot at other players. I get a kick out of "sniper vs. sniper " fights. As an example, yesterday, i was running around a map, and saw a sniper at the top of a building. I jumped down and zoomed, but right before shooting i heard a bullet hitting my friend who just ran behind me. He died, and a second later, i got my kill. Happy end.

i half camp ... that is sneak around .. i run around capping people up but sometimes out of nowhere i'll go on stealth mode with whatever weapon and move very slowly from hiding spot to hiding spot ... staying in those spots for up to a minute or so and then moving again ... i follow the action too .. so i don't sitthere waiting the entire game .. i track the sounds of gunfire and screams ... i camp TOWARDS the battle haha

Go Owlslayer, i love BF2, snipers rock!!!! battle sniper ftw will kill you from 500m (rifle), 50m (pistol/rifle/claymore) or 5 cm (knife or medic defibs :p), i will camp when need be, or when i'm surrounded which is often (BF2 parachute behind enemy lines, cause massive havoc etc). in games like CS/CoD will camp at a spot if i know i can ambush someone, but camping with sniper rifle or at a door with a shotty aint my style, unless the shotty situation is when 3 guys are chasing me and i charge through a door.
Also when im accused of camping, its when i am moving at a snail pace, so i suprise the running rushers or sneak up behind the actual campers (if campers i jump on top of them as they are always crouching, spin a few times, then knife them) always brings a few lol's.
(lol at CS, faced a hacker who used invis hack, and knifed people, bought an awp, when i hear footsteps BOOM me+1 kill).
Also been playing rainbow 6 vegas 2 online, that perfect ambush/lure is what i live for.

I often play a sniper, doesnt mean I always camp however. Sometimes the most satisfying thing as a sniper is NOT staying in the place too long and surviving for long runs because people dont find you :)

In COD4 it was but IW realized it was overpowered and in MW2 its one of the last assault rifles you unlock. They did not fix the problem that it is basically unstoppable with stopping power and anyone who can put the crosshairs on an enemy at least once. Like I said, point and click once and anybody dies unless they are on painkiller. Or if they are lucky and two of the bullets from the burst miss and you shoot them in the foot or something (even a burst to the foot will kill someone).

Camping is fun. You know, being out in the woods, campfire roaring...oh, wait, not that kind of camping.

Let me think...Nope, don't camp. I have a habit of dropping grenades when someone shoots me though. Pisses my friends off to no end.

I can't camp at the moment, I haven't got the right Internet (I have a mobile dongle instead of broadband) so I can't play online till the contract runs out then I will do a bit, just for some mastery things on MW2.

At the moment I play split screen which leads to alot of looking at somebody else's screen so it's like a kill cam that never goes away, so if you camp you quickly get taken out.

Hmmm, As in yeah, i might sit after a serious firefight, and get a hold of myself and shoot the poor prick/pricks who storm in. And then I leave for more crueling and intense fight, then yeah... But no, I don't sit in one place a intire match....

Is that a no?

Depends how frustrated I'm becoming with the people I'm playing with. I don't do it for the whole game, though. Just a couple of minutes here and there, then I frantically rush to the next building I fancy the look of, and generally have further encounters on the way.

I camp, yes. But not by just sitting still in a corner and waiting for people to come to me. I'd like to call it ambushing, not camping. And I always relocate after a kill. If people are stupid enough to run up to my location guns blazing for a second humiliation, I'll happily oblige. (Seriously, the airplane in the MW2 Airport map, how stupid can you get?)
Most of the time, when someone is shooting at me, I wait for them to come to me. Smart people circle around. Not so smart people get into my line of fire.
Also, I seldom use sniper rifles.

I'm that guy who does perfectly concentric runs around the entire map, systematically flanking the enemy while utterly fucking up the spawn system.
You know, that is such a perfect strategy to play MW2. I just love to do that and scatter the enemy.

I find camping boring, all you do is sit there and rack up the kills, you might as well play whack-a-mole.

No, unless i am playing the engi on the sniper in Tf2... heck i camp on the granery map as the spy. But thats about it, I mean i always change window or go down onto the feild as the sniper. THe engi has to camp and the spy, well if the team ur against is a bunch of noobs that its pretty easy to cloak in one place.
