Poll: Are you a cat or dog person?

I'm a big cat person. Requiring less care then a dog is a big bonus, but there's something about a purring kitten sitting on your lap while you play videogames that just incites and AWWWWWW reaction.

Dogs all the way. Id rather have a friend than a pet, and thats what dogs are.

When my dog sees me i can imagine him saying ' NIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK!!! HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS SLOBBER!!!!!!'

When we had a cat all i could imagine it saying was 'oh its you, give me food or fuck off'. So I've allays been biased against cats. Not to say all cats are bad, but the one i had as a kid was, so i'm biased.

Yeah, I admit the upper one looks cute.
However, despite me never having done anything to be mean to them, cats just hate me. I don't know why, they just do. I've plucked more pulled-out claws from my arms than I care to count.

Neither, really, but cats are definitely better. Dogs smell bad, aren't very clean, and are too enthusiastic.

i like dogs, to me they seem friendlier. Like i know its soooo cute when cats rub up against ur leg, but they are marking you with their scent saying "you belong to me". Dogs seem to depend on us more than cats, i like taking care of them.

Cats are fascinating creatures.
I really enjoy seeing what they get into when they're kittens.

Dogs are faithful animals.
I really enjoy when they jump on you after a long day at school.

In the end, I'd probably say that I'm a dog person. I want something to sit next to me while I read.

I like having both in my house but I am more of a dog person. Cleaning litterboxes every time they goto the bathroom because your room reeks is annoying. Their agility while fun makes all the stuff you don't want om nomed by dogs, om nomable. And they hide on you, my last cat would hide under a nightstand between two couches in a corner and Id have to pull the couch out to get at him.

Cats are okay but I frakin' love my dog. You can play with a dog. A dog actually loves you and shows it. A cat demands that you feed it and give it attention until it gets bored of you and walks away... lovely

Actually, I did this one a while ago.

My fellow Escapists, all of us pet-owning folk know exactly what I mean by this question. If you don't, say "huh?". Simple enough.
Now please don't complain about whether this is a suitable categorization system for people. No one likes a nitpicker. Thanks.

Personally, I am a dog person.

But I hate it so much when people tell me that, so no hard feelings. Everyone likes talking about their pets anyway.

OT: Dog person, I have three; but when I move out I am only going to get one.
I have literally not gone one second of my life without living with at least one dog.

Cat person! Dogs are cute too, as long as they are spoiled. Dogs that spend ALL day outside and play with other dogs smell bad. :/
