I've been playing CoD4 long enough to know about how many shots I need, with my average accuracy, to kill someone with my favorite few weapons. around 15 with P90, 10 with MP5, etc. I reload if I'm below that amount.

I reload only when i'm sure i can make it sure it back fires sometimes but most of the time when i did not i need the ammo that wasn't in my chamber to finish someone.

I tend to only reload when my ammo it is less then 50-40% of a clip. When using something like a SMG where 2 bursts empty a clip quickly, then I'll usually reload immediately after a kill. Sniper rifles though, I'll reload after firing a single shot if I don't see any enemies around.

Hello, my name is Daniel Brown... and I'm a compulsive reloader.

I reload every time I've killed the enemy/enemies that I fought with before.

I'll reload when I think I've gotten a headshot in SWAT only to be proved wrong by facebullets. It sucks.

Also whenever I kill someone and am not in a scuffle I reload, usually to walk around the corner and be shot in the face.

I am a very very compulsive reloader, which ruins my chances when playing something like BF 2142 XD

yes, I noticed it when I was playing call of duty.
I actually try to tell myself not to reload after every kill when I play games.

Yeah i do it...after every kill. That last shot will always make or break my gaming session.

These days I play Black Ops.

As such, if I am playing regular Team Deathmatch, I will reload often, ( sometimes resulting in my death) due to the number of bullets it can take to kill someone.

Alternatively, in Hardcore gametypes, where it takes significantly less bullets to kill, I will only reload when I think I am in a safe position to do so.

Definitely. Course, I don't play multiplayer games, so I never really worry about dying while reloading, unless I'm in the middle of the fray and not in cover. And originally, I never thought much about it. Then, after playing Dead Space + a few other shooters, I realized it's probably better to constantly reload just in case you absolutely need to empty your clip on something important.

Yes and in Gears of War 2 I always screw up the active reload and get caught with my pants down...and die...I'm trying to break this habit

I used to be VERY compulsive, and I still am to a certain degree, but over time I learned the value of patience and if I'm confident the amount of bullets I have left is suficcient for at least one enemy, I don't take the risk, at least not when I'm out in the open.

Usually only when the combat has died down. Which is extra annoying when it starts back up again before you are done and gets you killed.

Every time I kill an enemy, if I get a split second I'll attempt a reload. I often get caught in the act and it costs my life.
Ditto. Even if I get shot and die, I still won't learn my lesson.

I avoid reloading until it's necessary or I've got cover, that came from way, way back with splitscreen Goldeneye. If you have cover and you have a general idea of where they are, then it's safe, if you get caught reloading while on the run you're fucked.

I tend to reload after every kill. This used to get me killed all the time, but now I've refined my pistol skills (went 2 weeks using nothing but pistols), and now any time I'm caught reloading I just pull out my pistol and take them down before they even get me in their sights.

Not compulsive, no.

I reload if I know I'm not about to get shot. Better to have a full clip than half of one.

But I'm not compulsive enough to do it when I'm being shot at.

Even if one bullet has been fired and killed one guy, I usually find myself reloading before the next wave of bad guys show up, just so everything is NEAT UN TIDY
