I can't remember as it's been a while but didn't "Condemned" let you pick up discarded mags?

But yeah, I can't stand the automatic reload when you empty a clip, it seems to take so much longer than if you do it manually even though the animation is exactly the same, so I always manually reload when I reach around 4 or 5 left in a clip.

Side note: does anyone else feel that way or is it just me? It always seems to take so much longer and whenever an automatic reload comes up it's always at exactly the wrong moment.

Can't stop myself. It's muscle memory at this point.

Shoot gun, reload the moment my finger lifts from the trigger.

In cod: I always reload when i kill enemy (if im not seeing another one ofc.) It has be come automatic thing for me, and yes, somethimes it might cost my life. But these days i have started to avoid peoples bullets while reloading by drop-shotting (quick crawl to make bullets go over me) which gives me enought time to finish my reaload and shoot my enemy.

In any other shooters: I'll just reaload when i have time and theres no enemies around.

A lot of the time, my play style ends up with me using guns that either have extremely small clips or clips that empty really fast. As a result, I've gotten into the habit of reloading whenever I go into cover (in both 1st and 3rd PSs)

Yes. After every engagement, minor or otherwise, I will reload my weapon. Even in a large combat situation, I will often hide behind cover after every kill or so just to reload.

yeah ALWAYS.. Usually get killed because of it, but I'd rather have a full mag than have not enough.

If the situation gives me a second then im going to reload. I always see people get caught reloading while shooting and then they die and look stupid so i guess im just paranoid

Sometimes. Usually though I go through my ammunition and have the game reload for me. Also, I try not to manually reload in RPG's as often, in order to help my immersion.

Yep, and unless something odd happens, I reload as soon as I kill someone, even if there's more people ready to be shot.

*is currently playing Deus Ex*

What are you *quickload* talking ab*quickload*out? I would never be a *quickload* cheap guy and just *quickload* load a previous save if I *quickload* screw so*quickload*meth*quickload*ing up!

......Yeah, I often load previous saves, if it's relatively fast and easy.

Also, I am an obsessive compulsive saver. In golden sun I would save, run down a hall and then immediately save again. >_<

Not really. In games of Bad Company 2 for example I find myself constantly just jamming one round back into the shotgun (which I use on every map at every opportunity) because it often isn't safe to actually reload (especially at shotgun range). I reload only on two occasions: when I'm reasonably certain it is safe to do so or when the situation forces me to.

I usually forget, actually.

I thought this was going to be a thread about reloading previous saves. I HAVE BEEN DECEIVED!

I reload after either hitting an enemy or getting a kill. Usually when I hit an enemy they come gunning and those few bullets make a difference.

However on Uncharted 2 multiplayer, I reload if I just fire a bullet. Uncharted 2 has this tendancy to need a full clip to score a kill.

I only reload when I think a fight is over I don't do it after every kill unless I am clipping using a bolt action rifle or pump action shotgun. Those are the only times and in those cases it is beneficial as pump actions take a really long time to fully reload.

If I ever play a shooter, I reload after pretty much every firefight I have no matter what. To the point that I actually really hate watching people play shooters when they run around with a clip that's flashing red or even just slightly less than the maximum clip size for ammo.

Though honestly, I don't think it's ever gotten me killed. Or if it has, then it's gotten me killed way less times than it's saved my life.

I only reload constantly when the game doesn't really punish me for it. For example, Team Fortress 2 lets you fire while reloading unless your clip is empty. For this reason, whenever I start TF2, I open console and type "+reload". XD
