Poll: Are you a fanboy?

I'm a fanboy of any character in a game whom, if I met in real life, I would consider to be at the very least a friend.

This more often happens with female characters, probably because I don't have a girlfriend. For example, in Left 4 Dead, I always find myself putting the needs of Zoey above those of the other survivors. More often when she is a bot, but sometimes even when it's another player, probably a guy, under the facade of an attractive girl roughly my age.

Same thing happens in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. Whenever I hear Tali cry out in pain I jump into action in my strange imaginary chivalry.

I suppose that might be being more of a "creeper" than a "fanboy" though...

Also, probably shouldn't put options like "in soviet russia..." if you want actual results from your poll. Those kind of un-validate the results, seeing as people who picked that option, thinking it was funny, could have picked any other one, and it's existence likely took the poll in a completely different direction.

I'm a fanboy of several different things... I'm a fanboy of Valve, Professor Layton, Metal Gear Solid, Gears of War... I'm one of the people who voted Raam over Breen and Darth Vader so we could have the EXP boost on GoW2.

I'm a fanboy of MGS and will defend it to the death. Just you try and say the story doesn't make sense.

If you say it doesn't make sense, then you didn't pay attention. And which one was your favorite? Just wondering... everyone seems to say something different.

Yeah same here. KOTOR made me a BioWare fanboy, before that game I never even cared about them.

No I don't consider myself a fanboy, I dislike it when people like FFVII and not FFVIII, but that's because I don't understand it, unless for the sake of nostalgia.

I thought the definition of the 360 was Halo? On another note GOW (God of War), has a very unique story about a murderous protagonist (whereas every other protagonist is a pansy good guy) and Kratos could kill both Marcus and Dom if he ever heard they tried to steal his abbreviation. Also, why can't I say God Of war is the definition of the PS3 and set the benchmark for the best looking console game to date? When in doubt remind yourself of this picture...

Its a vague term used by one console supporter against another of a different console.

In all seriousness though, I am a huge BioWare fan. It only really started last year when I finally got into Baldur's Gate II, and played it for pretty much two solid weeks (holidays are awesome).

Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 pretty much sealed the deal. Especially Virmire on ME. That was epic.

I'd been playing their games so much that when I started playing other games again, I would try to pause in combat.

I'm a VALVe fanboy. I will also hold up the PC side of any console-vs-pc argument.
Seriously, "controls are more realistic, easier to do multiple accurate movements with two joysticks" FUCK OFF. If I played you with my mouse and a keyboard I'd win every time. My movement control is far superior and so is my accuracy.
Yeah, those people irritate me to hell. Cleaaaarly I win.
