I've been lurking for quite a while and I think the guy you are talking about is CidSilverWing.

I don't think he has been banned, he just doesn't use these forums much after getting some bad reactions to his "furry-ness" from some of the less open minded members of the community.

It was him, and it wasn't about open mindedness, it was about him deciding if someone insulted him/argued with him that it was because he was a furry. And then made an ill fated thread about Furry's...

No, im good thanks. Ill admit i dont understand that whole thing in the slightest, seems like an interesting thing but its just a little too into the weird spectrum for me.

I really don't think a forum on a video game web site is the best place to go for this question. However much Furries became the internet generations punching bag, its still a relatively small subculture. Your likely to run into a bunch of people who have witnessed flame wars over them, but very unlikely to run into anyone who cares to have a more nuanced understanding of the subculture. Basically, I see an entire website proverbially shrugging there shoulders and saying, "Meh".

Did he get banned? I remember seeing a thread almost exactly like this a long time back. He basically said we were all furries in one way or another.
Personally, I have no problems with them as long as they don't show me any of their pictures and I myself am not a furry

Oh I remember that guy, yeh he said something about being a furry but that's all I ever heard from him.

Actually, I think he started a thread about internet memes or something, which somehow exploded into an anti-furry troll fest.

I must say it's really not something I've thought about, but I believe I'd have to say no. I can't think of any definition of the word 'Furry' that describes me... Except maybe my hairy arse.

Yes, I would imagine as much. Those who enjoy fursuits enjoy them for their own reasons for which I shall not speculate. I have never tried it, so I shall not attempt any analysis as to its merits. It certainly isn't hurting anyone.
