Is it even necessary anymore? In my last few years of college, the sporty types were the losers struggling to maintain what remained of their dignity as jocks, while the nerds were the cool ones.

Could we get a definition as to what a "nerdfighter" is? Someone who fights like a nerd? Someone who fights nerds?

I like to get into fights with nerds so do I count?

A nerdfighter is not a person that fights nerds it is a nerd that fights, in the same way that a freedom fighter is not somebody that fights freedom, but for it.

It's kind of difficult to explain what one is, it's all to do with a channel on YouTube, and the culture that sprang up around that channel on that little corner of youtube, that many different people are a part of, including Charlie McDonnell (the most subscribed person in the UK).

The guys that run the channel have done a lot of charity work and encouraged their audience (of over half a million) to do the same, raising a hell of a lot of money, the brothers that started the channel also set up and organised vidcon, which is the only annual youtube convention, which has now gotten so big that youtubers like Toby Turner are turning up, which is pretty high profile stuff.

Just be warned, every video from these guys is filled with injokes and refrences, so half the time you might find yourself wondering what the hell is going on.

Well, based on the definition given by the guy a few posts down, yeah, I'm a nerdfighter. I'm a nerd, I like nerdly things, and that's awesome. People who give me crap for it either don't know what they're missing or are simply too ignorant and stupid to understand that their preferences are not the universal standard for awesomeness. I'm fine with that, proud of it, and open about it.
