I am surprised there isn't an option in the poll that says both.

I play video games on both the Consoles and the PC. I like my PC a bit more than the consoles I own but I am not a PC Elitist. Some days I will want to play games on my PC more and some days I will want to play games on my Consoles.

Old consoles gamer but was kinda forced to since my decent PC burned along with my PS3 although to be fair I didn't use the PS3 much so I got stuck with the older games which is fine because sometimes you can get nice surprises while buying old games, for example I saw this game for Gamecube which is called Geist for 70 pesos (arround 6 dollars) without knowing anything about it just because it was cheap and ended up liking it a lot and I really do recommend it, it's a adventure FPS in which you use a ghost it's quite interesting if you guys get a chance you should really try it out for yourselves!

I'm both a console and a PC gamer. I find that if I use both, I get the best of both worlds. Sins of a Solar Empire, for example, as well as other PC-exclusive games appeal to me, as do console exclusives such as Fable 2, Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake, and more. I personally think that if the option for both is available, it should be taken. And when it comes down to consoles, while I own an XBOX 360, there's no reason for me to talk bad about other consoles. There's a console for every type of gamer, it seems. No reason to disrespect someone who would rather have the Wii than an XBOX or something.

I started with the NES, but I quickly switched to PC gaming. The amount of control, from changing graphics settings, control settings, to actually modifying the games and creating levels and mods is one point where the PC for the time being outshines consoles by far. I still like Console gaming, relaxing on my couch with a controller in my hand is fun, but I prefer the control that PC games offer. As for consoles, my current gen is a 360, which was mainly purchased because it was cheaper than a PS3, and most of the games at the time I wanted to play were either cross platform or exclusive to the 360. I still however play my NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, Playstation 1 and 2, and Gamecube, but I still prefer a mouse and keyboard control scheme to the console, as well as the almost infinitely diverse games that come with a PC.

So in the end, both. But I prefer PC.

When a game is PROPERLY ported to the PC, its the best experience. No doubt about it.

+ Lots of RAM reduces loading times.
+ Flying with the joystick.
+ Aiming with the mouse.
+ Lots of keys that you can remap to perfection.
+ Replay the game 5 years later with a way better machine so see it run even smoother.
+ Mods.
+ Dual-screening with browser/guide on the other monitor.
+ You can go WAAAY higher then 1080p.

The only thing you have to sacrifice is your couch, and get behind your desk.
Speak for yourself dude. I've got my rig hooked up to by TV with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I play from my couch.

OT: I don't believe in limiting myself to one platform. I'll play on consoles and I'll play on my PC, whichever I can afford and whichever has games that interest me.

this, but screw getting rid of your couch I have a wireless keyboard and my PC hooked up to my T.V...
You lucky bastard.

I'm a console gamer, 360.
Sometimes I play my PC. Mostly just TF2 or Alien Swarm.

PC mostly. Though the huge amounts of awesome PS3 exclusives is eating away at my PC time.

and then someone responded to him and said that the majority of this forum is made up of PC Gamers. So I got to wondering is that true?
As of this post, 65.2% of the votes are for PC. So yeah...

Personally, I've grown up with PC gaming, so that's what I identify with. Doesn't mean I don't own a PS3 and Xbox360, and play them at least as much as my PC.

The Ports are better on a PC, but the PC exclusives are still better than any port to PC game I've ever seen.

I play my 360 most, only because I'm better at aiming with analog sticks for some reason.......but the PC community is much better than the 360 community.

I disagree with the whole mouse/joystick thing. One reason that I use consoles Is that I can't stand using a mouse. I much prefer the two analog sticks on the average controller. Also with the "whole replay the game five years later" thing, yeah you can do that - if it wasn't for the fact that almost no games run on Windows 7 or Vista, which is what most new pcs use. Just last week I had to bust out my good old Windows XP computer from storage, just so I can play Theif.
...You do know that just about all PC games support dual thumbsticks?
