I'm a vegetarian only because the times I've tried to eat meat, it tasted like eating a badly seasoned car tire i don't like it when people start flipping a shit when they find out that i am a vegetarian.

heres a quote from yesterday at school
"I'm a vegetarian"
around 7 or 8 people "WWHHAATT?!?!?!?! how can you not like meat?!? thats so stupid!!! its impossible to not eat meat!!!"
"yeah it is dumbfuck, I'm living proof. Now be quiet, it isn't that big of a deal, meat tastes like bad tire, leave me alone about this."

its really infuriating when people start flipping a shit about this stuff.

and this song nicely exemplifies this point.

When I think about it, I've only come across two vegetarians in my life, and I've met a fair amount of people, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was a small percentage..

I could never be vegetarian. Firstly, I like being somewhat healthy, and I can't see how vegetarians can be, although I really don't know that much about it. Secondly, I love the taste of meat. Oh and thirdly, I don't feel bad knowing that I'm eating slaughtered animals.
ok, vegans, i can understand being mal-nourished but it hard to be unhealthy on a vegetarian diet, think about it, the only source of fat in the diet is dairy products so obesity is almost impossible, protein comes from eggs and milk (the latter also being a source of clacium) and fruit gives you vitamins! im a veggie and i feel fantastic 24/7!
BUT if you follow PETA's version of vegetarians then drinking milk and eating eggs is "supporting animal cruelty". What I'm saying is PETA is against farming animals for food products.
I'm an omnivore btw.

There is no option in the poll that describes my feelings on it.
Hell no is a little harsh for my opinion on it.My choice would be "No,but I don't have anything against it."

No. I'm an omnivore, through and through.

And yes, if I had to, I WOULD kill an animal and then devour it's flesh.

The massive brain humans have that allows them to choose to be vegetarians only exist due to a diet of fatty meats eaten by our ancestors.

Seems hypocritical to not eat meat.

Also... blood is yummy!

I've managed to live 18 years without a taste of meat. I pulled off this "magnificent" feat by eating Taco Bell, homemade Indian food, veggie burgers, tofu, Chinese food, and pasta.

Nah, Bacon forever man. BACON, FOREVER. And Vegeterians kinda annoy me unless its a medical problem.
Why? What have they done to you?

Personally, I find bacon to be disgusting, can't stand it... Tastes like salted arse... oh wait...

Oh, and OP, you'll find that this forum is very biased against vegetarianism, we've had quite some er... "scandals" involving threads about vegetarianism.

i think its OK to take produce from an animal if you deserve it by providing the animal with a comfortable life, in other words, only if its free range, battery farms? i think the owners are scum. i keeep my own chickens and we get at least 2/3 eggs a day, i dont feel guilty taking them because i know the chickens have a great life

Not vegetarian. But if you read Eating Animals it may change your mind.
It changed my friend's mind.

As for me, I enjoy meat, and don't care about the suffering behind it. I'd eat human if I could, just to make everything fair.

Ive been thinking lately about something my dumb ass, spoiled brat cousin said the last time i saw him, what he said was this "only 1% of the worlds population are vegetarians" (hes not actually smart enough to use those big words, its just how id have said it). Obviously this is a load of crap hes just pulled out of thin air for no obvious reason, but it got me wondering, just what is the veggie to non-veggie ratio?

edit: there! i added an option for bloody so called "semi-veggies" happy now?

(oh and if your reading this gunjack65, yes, well done, you knew it was me :p)
lol you have to love it when dumb people pull statistics directly out their arse.

no, i can't think of enough food i like to go veggie

I'm omnivorous, I really don't understand people who are veggies because of moral reasons. I doubt the pig was going to lead an amazing life before someone made some use of it by turning into dinner.
