There is this dude that kind of stalks my facebook with the sole purpose of making snide stupid comments on my posts. Today he made a comment about how I whether the recoil of a shotgun I was using in a picture hurt me. And I got to thinking- knowing what I do about the actual guy, I could literally kill him with my hands if i needed to.

Then I began to find the whole thing hilarious because he acts all tough and cool online but can't back it up in life.

So, the question I pose to you, Escapists: are you an internet warrior or do you know one that is particularly bad?

Edit: Please forgive that last option. I was listening to an Old Spice commercial as I was writing this and for some reason I typed that. Idk.

I've met a few, but I am not.
People who try to act all tough on teh interwebs often come off as silly.

Oh i've seen tons in online games, talking a lot of shit about how they will fuck me up IRL, cause they're getting pwned in the game. Call me evil, but when people act like that, i can't help but try as best as i can to make them rage even more by trolling them.

I thought the term was keyboard warrior, but whatever floats your boat. I wouldn't say I was a internet warrior.

Why not delete him off your friends list but before that, post on his wall, "Quit acting like a tough guy, you can't do shit in real life".

I'm an internet tough guy and its a full time job with no benefits. The pay sucks and everyone hates us. You all think its so easy to be tough online. But I can only come up with so many creative ways to explain why Mass Effect, Half Life, and Time Splitters are the three worst franchises of all time.

Now excuse me while I go back to playing Ben 10 Alien Force. Check my profile if you think I'm lying. Best game EVAR.

I am an internet gentleman. A gentleman doesn't fight his own battles, he has his loyal servants fight them for him.

Unfortunately I have no loyal servants, so I pretty much avoid fights entirely.

In that case, there're really only two kinds of internet warriors: pretend tough-guys and accomplished trolls. While a well-executed troll can be hilarious (as long as you're not on the receiving end), most end up in the former category and honestly, they're usually just trolling themselves.

I enjoy a little snark now and then, but usually I just don't participate. Especially because the moment someone starts trying to defend themselves, they've usually lost.

I'm a proper young internet lady. I do no such things as fighting.

Really, though, "keyboard warriors" or whatever else you want to call them are rather ridiculous. I've seen people like that, yes. And then I have a little snicker at their foolishness and move on. (My goodness, I think I may be an internet snob.)

The only times I've tried to ever vigorously defend something is usually when it involves a very stupid opinion about something of my interests (namely video games/Halo), or, more recently, against the people who think that the removal of Bloom in Reach is something of a godsend.

If I hold no real interest in a topic, I find no reason to waste my time defending it.

Naw. Why should I need to be a tough guy when I'm actually a giant fluffy basket of kitten farts and baby smiles who just happens to like Cyriak?
