They say that being an only child or the youngest child and so forth affects what kind of person you become so I made a poll.

I share the position of youngest child with my identical twin. I think it made me have higher expectations on friendships when I have someone who I have literally shared all my experiences with.

Younger of two siblings. My brother is my gaming buddy. Even though we now live in different houses, we still try to see each other for a good old gaming session every few weeks.

I was. I didn't have any siblings during my childhood, but I acquired a half-brother 3 years ago.

Oldest.

I'm 3 years older than my sister; we weren't too close growing up, but as we've gotten older, we've interacted more. I think our parents treated us the same too

I may as well have been, I seemed to hold the spotlight more than my older Sister even before she turned into one of those adult things and moved out.

I have two brothers and I'm in the middle.

I would assume that would usually make me some kind of mediator for all of us, but I have never got on with the eldest brother and I only kind of get on with the younger. All of us just kind of look out for ourselves and we've never confided in each other about anything. The eldest is honestly a horrible person and the youngest is just massively carefree, I'm not sure if that fits any kind of stereotype though.

I'm an only child. Not really sure what that's supposed to mean for my personality. I did once hear single children become independent more quickly; no clue if that's true

Nope. Middle child. I have a younger sister and an older brother. They're alright I guess. My brother is a bit of a spaz, and my sister is melodramatic. I'm the normal one.

I was until 13 years ago. Now I've got a brother and sister. Half technically but I've always called and had them call me by the "full" brother/sister terms. I don't know why, but they look up to me so much and pretty much worship the ground I walk on. I know it sounds ridiculous but they squabble over the right to fetch my coat and shoes.

Higher end of middle of four.
Though technically the younger two are step-siblings so I don't know if they count.

I'm the youngest but considering that my sister is twelve years older than me... Well, I always felt like an only child. Kinda as if I grew up with two moms. My younger mom is awesome and the reason I got into gaming though. :D

Of course I am. I was so obviously awesome at birth that my mother was like "oh fuck this, nothing is ever going to top this child"

That and the fact that I never had a father since my first breath probably had something to do with it. I guess I should do some digging now that i'm 20. Isn't that what single parent people are supposed to do? I have a suspicion he wasn't like a war hero who died in noble combat or anything, probably just some scumbag who bailed out early and fucked off to France.

France. Home to runaway fathers and people who cannot play League to save their fucking lives :D

Only child. Somehow, I kinda wish I wasn't (for a start, it would mean my board games don't all sit on top of my wardrobe gathering dust all the time!). I'm a bit past that sort of time though, since any sibling now will essentially be an only child anyway, and too young for me to be able to relate. Always wanted a sister though, if I had to have had a sibling. My subconscious probably thinks of "brother" meaning the same as "competition". :p

I have a younger sister but the age difference is so little and we look so much alike we might as well be twins. Lots of people takes us for twins anyway. We're pretty close too.

I'm an only child. Some people tell me, "Oh that's great, you get all your parents attention and you gets lots of things kids with siblings might not." But you know, while that might partially be true, it's also a very lonely feeling, too. You don't really have anyone that you can relate to, or feel close to in regard to family, or anyone you can really talk to about your parents/family who really GETS it.

Maybe I'm the only one, here, but there used to be times when I actually really resented my parents for not giving me the opportunity to have a sibling.

I have an older half sister and a twin brother.

I'm about two minutes older then my brother so that technically makes me the middle child. Barely.

I'm the youngest male out of 3 sisters :( Always wanted a brother because my sisters suck never seen them and Im only 18. Did having 3 sisters impact who I am? No I don't think so. One was like in high school when I was born and the other two are not very close to me. So I guess I'm kinda like an only child sorta since my teenage years at least.

I sure am. Although back in a day our whole family used to live in one place. So I was growing up with a bunch of older cousins who treated me as their personal servant. Bastards.
