Poll: Are you angry at the escapist for canceling Unforgotten realms?

Well it's not like the Escapist just said "Hey, lets drop Unforgotten Realms just for kicks." Things like this happen and all you can do is (in this case) is buy the DVD and hope something good happens. Yea it sucks that the reason I joined this website is left hanging but at least I got to watch hours of funny videos. I hope they come back a lot but if not I will still be happy I got to watch 46 great episodes.

HOw could they!! I mean yeah it'd been getting stale lately, BUT STILL it was worth watching! That show was my favourite thing on here!

Unforgotten Realms was the best show on the escapist,

Right after ZP, Unskippable, ENN, Apocalypse Lane, Escape to the Movies, Doomsday Arcade and There Will Be Brawl... Maybe.

Honestly, the first season was amusing. But it went downhill fast... It quickly became boring, repetitive and uninspired... Not to mention the cases of "Tim Buckley Syndrome" the author had more than once at critics.

Had my laughs with it... And now it's done.

I watched it expecting very little and was pleasantly surprised. It started out shakily but has been getting better and better

I have to admit that I didn't much care for it to be honest. I've tried to watch it a few times and my reaction has mostly been "meh".

Of course then again I spend most of my time on The Escapist on the message boards.

Right now I think Zero Punctuation, There Will Be Brawl, Unskippable, and Doomsday Arcade are the only things they have that are really worthwhile, and I don't catch the latter three that often.

Losing Unforgotten Realms is like losing D-rez, very "meh".

Dang, oh well. It was alright in the first half with some good jokes but then it got a bit stale with a few okay jokes. I watched it quite a bit until the Harry Potter story. It was bound to happen so I'm not really sad.

Who knows, maybe one day Yahtzee will lose his luster and will be dropped for a newer, funnier show.

How much do you want to bet that it'll be because of the guys from Unskippable?

ZP is good, in fact its brilliant but i do still love UF just that little bit more

ZP and of course Unskippable are my favourites - matter of opinion. That's a shame though, I watched one or two it wasn't bad, but sadly never caught my interest enough to watch it regularly.

Now the escapist has decided in their 'infinite wisdom' to cancel it and leave the fate of the show hanging in the balance! I am incredibly angry about this and just wanted to know if anyone felt the same way as me?

Yes UR is funnier then ZP most things are funnier then someone talking very fast for 10 minutes making fun of perfectly good games. UR has that subtle humor that takes a brain to get... not just BAWLS LOLLLZ.

same here ZP is awsome (except when he tries to warp american politics so we view the US as evil) but UR and AL was awsome in its own way. and he probably put himself in a hiatus because he was low on funds since THE ESCAPIST FIRED HIM!!!!!!!!! if you read the website he is selling dvd's. most likley to raisemoney so that he can continue on his website

i think it started well but it went down hill considerably when they started to leave out the d&d aspects,i prefered it when it was made clear that it was about two guys playing a game about fantasy adventures rather than being simply about fantasy adventures.

P.S although i originally liked it it was never as good as ZP

Not really, I kinda got bored of it after the Harry Potter bit.

They really just kinda stopped trying around the last episode of the tower it seemed.

And I think it is less the escapist canceling them, and more them whining about money.

I have to agree with Lock Legion on this one "If you are making your flashes for money, don't. Make them for fun, and if you happen to get paid, AWESOME"

Except unlike futurama and firefly, this was them just quitting because of lack of money, rather then being kicked because they didn't earn 100% of what was expected by an evil corporation.

To be honest, I thought the plot got waaay too muddled at Season 2; almost as if the characters had forgotten that they were playing game. Also, the show really wasn't all that funny to begin with, so most of it's fans were just following it out of the sheer brilliance of the first episodes.

However, I am sad to see it gone. It was an integral part of The Escapist, and it will be missed.

He doesn't claim America is evil. He claims ALL governments have their nice big loads of shat (Like when he poked fun at the british SAS doing very questionable things). But it just so happens that most games involve what? America or Americans. That's like picking on a black comic at the apollo making fun of whites.
