I never noticed it the first time I saw it, but upon re-watching 'I, Robot', I really noticed how ridiculous the product placement was.
Mostly, I'm ambivalent about it. I usually don't even notice it, but when it's 'I, Robot' levels of obvious, then yes; it annoys me, and only makes me want to boycott that product/service.
This also includes "The Mac Shot". You know, that scene in where they show a person using a computer, and it will basically be a 5-second still-shot of them sitting there with their computer in front of them, Macbook brand front and center of the screen.
