Poll: Are You Buying Brutal Legend?

Brutal Legend is coming out this week and I for one am really excited after playing the demo. It's made by Tim Schafer so I don't see how it could possibly be bad. So who else is excited (or dismayed) about this game's release? What are your thoughts on the glimpses we've been given so far? Will the multiplayer totally suck? Discuss.

I haven't really thought about it, what with Borderlands and L4D2 taking up most of my excitement and money. But Tim Schafer's a god, so I might check it out.

I mostly want Uncharted 2 and Borderlands but Im still looking forward to the game. Multiplayer is going to be like Overlord's though. No-one will play it.

Il come back to this when its in the range on 25-30 pounds. The combat seemed samey and the whole inovation of the game was the novelty of the whoel thing being some sort of trippy nightmare. I can imagine that getting old pretty fast.

That is true. Even if it's the greatest multiplayer of all time, only 2 people in the whole world will actually play it.

I haven't played he demo and I might when my little brother gets off the xbox but from what I've seen and heard, I probably will remain unimpressed

I'm considering pre-ordering it (which I never do), just because of the stupid pre-order bonus that is doled out.

They should just give out the codes for the first weak of release or something.

EDIT: Yes, I am saying that the pre-order bonus is stupid, and thus by extension I am for wanting it.

If the price doesn't go down, I'll probably rent it. Simply because it looks too small, and has too little replay value to actually make me want to spend 35-45 quid, when I want Borderlands a lot more.

I expect the gameplay to be decent but nothing special. The story and the humour are what should make it good, much like Psychonauts. If you don't like adventure games though then I can understand it might just not be your thing.

Ill be getting it on the ps3. However probably not straight away. Depends whether I get Uncharted in october. Still undecided about them. Multiplayer looks fun though so if you get the chance give it a try and tell me if its any good :]

I still don't get the negativity here. Psychonauts and Tim Shaffer are awesome. This is like Psychonauts' funny bits and creativity with better gameplay and lots of metal... which is awesome. Unless the reviews are awful (which I really don't expect), I'm getting it in the first week.

Oh no I love a good adventure game, I grew up on a ps1 where the majority of games were adventure games but from what you've said gives a bit more of a positive look on it, I will download the demo and see what it's like then

Single player demo for Brutal Legend out, and i figure the full game is more of the same. Uncharted demo out atm too, i found it a little frustrating. so yeah i'll send you a msg after i try an online game or two.
