Hmmm... I'm trying to think back to yesterday, but I can't for the love of me remember whether our chalkboards are black or dark green.
I have this vague recollection that they might actually be green.
*hrk* You've got it bad! Though I know the boards are green, even though they look grey to me.

Like me! (nothing beats an overcast day... though having previously gone out with someone with EPP makes it a necessity) *grin nonetheless* I have a very monochromatic wardrobe (the only colour you'll get out me is my red buff and some weird brass coloured thing on my Sketchers, yes I wear Sketchers). But actually, I was more interested in your form of colour-blindness 'cos I've never encountered anyone who has achromatopsia/monochromacy.

It's either you are or you aren't.
You can't have it "pretty bad"
unless it's only one form of it, then explain.

What, as in achromatopsia?! (Was wondering how that leads to 'goth', but I get.)

I see where you're coming from with that, but if I suddenly went colorblind, I'd be MISERABLE. Colors are like, my favorite part of seeing.
Well thanks
Good to know I'm missing out v_v
Sorry bro D: Maybe you could get bionic eyeglasses like this guy once they develop them enough to specifically target colorblindness?

Question for colorblind people: Do you have problems with contrast? Like, if a background and a font color are in two different colors that you have trouble with, do you have a hard time telling the words from the background, and thus being able to read it?
In my case yes, I have trouble with red, green and brown. So green text on a cardboard box for example, depending on how bright the colours are I can have trouble reading it.

No, I have excellent colour-vision. That is Colour thank-you very much.

But I am quite badly short-sighted. Vision wise only... I hope.

Where the hell is the red-green color blindness?
Whatever, one thing I'd like to point out is colorblindness isn't quite like some people imagine, and it varies in severity.
For me when you put red and green together I have a hard time differentiating the red from green, but I can actually see the colors.

An odd thing that I didn't note though is you can (like me) be unable to see color blends so to me there are only 7 colors in the world. This is not debatable.

The only problem I have with this color scale is some of the colors in that "purple" look like they're blue, but hey what do I know?
To me, Orchid is totally a shade of blue and Lavender and Plum are pink. Plum is a dark pink though.

I can't tell any difference between Lavender, Bubblegum, and Carnation. Like, at all.

I heard that there were contacts to help, but I have a feeling that it would be one of those things that if I experienced it, I would never be able to go back.
I don't want to hurt myself that way.

For me plum is correctly placed there, although orchid is more blue than purple, a shade of indigo mixed with a little sky blue :p

And I can see the difference, although I score almost perfectly on colour-vision tests :D

I have wonderful vision and hearing. However, I have a horrid sense of smell. Now you know.

Yes. I can't see green. But then again, I can. Forests have colors for me, I just can't recognise them. And I can see bright green. On the other hand, I have great difficulty with dark tints of brown and red too, though tests show I can see these colors.

Weird.

I know, I was asking which you had.

As an aside we also have a really rare bloodtype that anyone can use but we have to have the same one. Wierd.
So... O then?
0 rhesus negative. I think its kind of rare.
I never understood what the rhesus types actually do. Does the negative matter for whether you can get transfusions or not?

Yup, green/red stuffs, you know, daltonism.

But it doesn't bother me that much - types like us can keep apart more different shades of brown. That was a plus back in the day of hunting 'n gathering, but now it's a plus again thanks to all the bland brownish/greyish generic shooters!

I'm not sure I think I have to have that exact type though, for myself.
