I know I am. To them, and good game is a game with good graphics and multiplayer that lets them own other people. People join on the bandwagon to much. Call of Duty 4 was good, but not MW2, it was just a pile of COD4 with some more stuff thrown on it. I enjoy games likt Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. (Yes, I am a valve fanboy) Anyway, what is your opinion?

I miss the times when they used to go to literacy lessons.

But no, online is the latest craze. Well co-op is actually, MP was the last craze. Just like 15 years ago brutally hard isometric RPGs used to be the craze. You can't be disappointed in someone because they like something different to you.

I'm disappointed with elitist gamers that treat it all as srs bzns.

The only thing that matters to me is whether a game is fun and entertaining or not.

Just don't play online. Problem solved. My friends and I only play Halo on Live to troll people.

I chose 'sorta'. I am disappointed in the current generation of gamers - but not more than the previous generation, and every generation that came before them.

You're all losers to me. :)

They wouldn't like it if everyone else didn't like, thus the effects on "bandwagon". That's my point. The bandwagon is just silly.

Thats like saying we should be ashamed of those older gamers that jumped on the Mario band wagon.

Games like Halo and COD are so popular because anyone can pick up and play at any point in an effort to express their competitive side; and for the gamer that doesnt want to invest 50 hours into a J-RPG, thats a nice thing.

Sorry fun-to-play games seem to "trendy" for you.

In some ways yes. However, be glad that games with depth are not mainstream at the moment, it means you can be cool and indy.

well first off, your a major valve fanboy, you haven't opened yourself to many games at all, and isn't team fortress 2 multiplayer? and I'm 18 so i'd like to consider myself in this generation, and i could care less for graphics or multiplayer, same goes with most of my friends, its a fun add on for some but not a must

ill agree cod4 was good, couldn't care less for mw2 tho, played it on occasion with friends and thats it, i prefer mass effect and dragon age and a few other old games, like kotor or final fantasy, but overall who am I to judge this generation or the last? thats just being elitist

really? all i see is mp, co op has been dying away slowly imo, i miss co op campaign games,to be able to sit with a friend and have a good ole time on campaign, or do it online, i haven't seen a decent one in the past few years at all, its slowly switched to pure online multiplayer

Assassin's Creed 2 was a huge disappointment to me, next generation game engine on my £300 machine and I'm essentially playing;

"Errand Boy's Creed 2"

If I was in Ubisoft marketing I would have made the slogan
"do whatever the map markers tells you to do"

If I squint my eyes I can see the OP's elitism. I am tired of people who say "This sucks... its new!" If you do not enjoy a game then do not play it. I never played JRPGs because it is not my style, I never go on message boards and spend hours complaining about it. Unfortunately the OP cannot do this.

And you know that how?

Just because people like what the majority of everyone likes doesn't make them "conformist".

In fact, the reason is that one person says "I like this" and then they show it to their mates. Their mates like it too (if it was actually rubbish then they wouldn't like it), then they show it to their mates.

If a thing's good then it will be popular.

You act as if Valve aren't popular - besides, TF2 is a MP game with good graphics so I don't know what point you were trying to make with that.

Its definitely making a return, its just not split-screen that much anymore.

SC: Conviction's due to have a 6-8 hour long co-op campaign that's entirely seperate from the main game. MW2 had spec ops, then there's Army of TWO and that other co-op game which I've completely forgotten. Uncharted 2 had a co-op mode as well I believe.

i might have to check out conviction, sounds good, army of two looked mehh, and uncharted 2's co op mode was horrible imo..loved the single player and the multiplayer is fun, but co op is shit to me, i miss some of the old co ops, imo gears of war had an amazing co op game, easily played that 100 times with a friend over

mw2 just had those singular little missions.... you almost ALWAYS had a partner with you on campaign, it was retarded you couldn't play co op on the main missions
