I use this term metaphorically. What I mean by this is, well, in Fallout 2 and 3; the Enclave expresses it's ideals that "pure" humans are the world's last best hope and that anyone else was "impure" and therefor must be eradicated. My question to you is: would you share their point of view? Can few be just as, if not more important than many? If you had to choose between say, saving a bus of brilliant scientists, doctors, philosophers, artists, etc. or saving an entire cruise ship of "normal" or "lesser" people (rapists, murderers, etc.)? Can you value a life? Could one soul be greater to or lesser than another's?

P.S. I'm not referring to the Enclave specifically; merely using them as an example.

You don't have the option "Burn them all". I bet many people would vote for this one.

Personally, I don't know.

I chose BoS because they have kewler armor in my opinion. More Outcast though cause I'd just let everyone die, saving that Sega Genesis instead.

I chose muffins, because I don't have the option to completely murder every single Enclave soldier. I mean seriously. Those guys are jerks. My dad and I were just fixing a machine so the wasteland can have water! You didn't need to go in there and be a douchebag! I mean, sure you are a buncha racist pricks, but that doesn't mean you have to go murdering people just trying to have clean water! D:

I don't think that it's so black and white. The Enclave only SAW themselves to be the most pure in the Wasteland. In terms of mutations and radiations, yes, they were the most poor...but I mean, look at the people in Rivet City and Megaton in Fallout 3. They were living perfectly normal lives with no adverse effects from the radiation. Not to mention. Dr. Li and James built a working water purifier, something that the Enclave clearly wasn't capable of since they had to steal the one in the Jefferson Memorial...so to say that they're superior isn't necessarily true.

I don't believe that your metaphor was very good at explaining what you were trying to explain. Or you didn't properly understand the Enclave's goals.

The Enclave isn't against people who have good abilities or skills. It's not like they're some super-collectivist group who believe everyone should be as equal as physically possible. They just want to get rid anyone with a mutation caused by radiation.

But yeah, some people can be more important than others. Relatively. But then of course "importance" is always relative to me...

I would save he bus. Not by some misconstrued notion that they are "pure" but because scientists and the likes are far more important than ordinary folks. Particularly in a "rebuilding society" setting.

And now, a message from Number One, the new leader of the worldwide Enclave organization...

Greetings to you all, leaders and civil servants of man.

I understand that there is some confusion regarding the nature of we, the people of this glorious Enclave.
The confusion stems from the idea that everything you've been shown is how we are known to operate, but
I am here to tell you this: It is all a lie which we have fed you.

The Enclave does not care about such petty things as racial purity or indeed the central government of
one's country. True, our origins lie within the United States, but it is a great big world we would not
separate ourselves from it. When have you known the American government to keep to itself? You see?
That is the proof right there. If what you see overtly is happening, then so true is everything done covertly.

We are an international organization. We are everywhere. Everything from your corporate executives to your
janitors could be a member of the Enclave. We hold no member higher than the other based upon their day job,
their income, their country of origin, or whatever else you may think up. That was our smokescreen, cleverly
employed so that we could settle in. It's a little like Fight Club in that sense.

As for the question of 'Who is Enclave?', that answer is simple. YOU are. Maybe not all of you, but some
of you. And the rest will fall, bit by bit, into our calculating hands. We share the same face on the surface
of things, something most countries can't seem to accomplish. Become one of us. There are no regrets.

(The preceeding was a worldwide message from Number One of the Enclave and done for laughs. Any attempts to take this message even somewhat seriously will be met with snickering and guffaws. And repeat to yourselves, FalloutJack is freakin' awesome!)

I see muffins...

Now I must create a Fallout 3 mod that kills the Enclave WITH muffins.
Wouldn't that be as simple as replacing the model for grenades with a model of a muffin?

Well... That would be pretty boring. But mini muffin-nukes wouldn't be, right?

I thought of that but then remember how few nukes there are. Besides, muffin grenades can even be used in doors and it makes a certain booby trap a lot more appealing when you see hanging muffins instead of hanging grenades.

What about a muffin just sitting somewhere and when you pick it up to eat it, BOOM! I can avoid tripwires and mines, but a tasty looking muffin is just irresistible.

Everytime I see one of the threads discussing the best course of action in this game, I start feeling guilty. I started as a nice kid, fresh from Vault 101. Did good deeds, killed a few raiders. Then I got pissed at everyone asking me to do dangerous stuff and I killed the wasteland. All of it. It was very very quiet.

That included the Enclave because I didn't want to support them on principle. I didn't agree with the purity deal and wouldn't want anyone to become strongest in the wasteland. It's why I never side with Legion or the NCR. Most NPCs are megalomaniacs.

Also, I was supposed to be pure (didn't mutate, came out of a Vault from someone who came out of a Vault) and yet, the modified FEV water still hurt me. Huh.

For the record, I picked muffins.

whats a Magalomaniac? and while you grew up in the vault you were actually born in Rivet city (you can go to a surgial table which is likelye the birthplace) so your the same wasteland scum as everyone else (also why the overseer hates you)

anyway ever since fallout 3 I have a very very VERY strong hate for the enclave...they killed Liam nieson! my dad!

and I dunno unlike most other people I got very emotionaly wrapped up in the events of fallout 3...hell I get upset just thinking about the game...and never being able to return home

I mean destroying the enclave is some consolation I supose...plus the lone wanderer does have some freinds such as Sarah lyons..the brotherhood and moira brown

also the Enclae are the America that got themsleves blown up in the first place....they were a peice of history that needed to be removed
