I'm sure in games I do far more interesting things than I do in the real world. Also I feel very guilty being a 'bad guy' in games which present the option, and as such hardly ever go for it.

Yeah I like to play myself, which means playing a sadistic childish git makes for a lot of fun.

I'm almost never allowed to use a real personality in a game. it's either murdering psychotic or whiny saint.

I'm generally act more like myself in a game than I do in real life. In real life, there are repercussions for being a completely evil bastard. In games not so much (except for MMORPG's in which I generally try to stay quiet in order to avoid getting mobbed...)

Example:
In Oblivion i made myself a heavy armoured, giant sword weilding, charging around into the thick of the action dude.
When i do paintball. i am the same.
I sometimes do become a ninja, assassin dude but as your poll says, i'm MOSTLY myself.

Given that my identity is generally in flux as it is, I can perceive no change that is significant while I'm playing a game.

I would say yes, I am. Because there are a lot of sides to my personality which I do not necessarily show to everyone surrounding me, but let out when I get a chance... ^^ for example, being the quiet ninja, the wicked villain or the crazy biatch in a video game.

Usually yes, though it depends on the game. All the characters I roleplay always have a least something that I've got in real-life as well. Unless the role is completely set out already - if I play a game like, say, Assassin's Creed, I try to get under the main characters skin, even if those main characters are nothing like me.

In games, I wear pastel colors with bows and kittens and happy and rainbows and flying unicorns.
*looks at self*
Black shirt, black jeans, black shoes...

I think its self apparent.

In real life Im generally a nice guy.

In games, I'm a totally sociopathic evil bastard that'll kill anyone that gives me half a reason. I used to actually laugh out loud when I managed to work a conversation around to an execution in Mass Effect!

Online? Leaning towards yes (dammit, I voted without thinking it through). I'm normally a nice guy, but quiet IRL. In game, I can talk more, but not by much. It's also fun trolling trolls since they can't piss me off easily (and get everyone else to join in the fun till they give up).

Karma meter RPG's don't matter much. I can play good or evil easily. Up till recently, I didn't know that people actually struggled to bring themselves to be bad (my one friend was the sole exception, and I didn't understand it)

I often become my own interpretation of the character I'm playing as without me noticing. Like, let's see... In Deadly Creatures, I started to imitate how actual tarantulas and scorpions move and I didn't notice until someone pointed it out and wondered if I had a specific reason for doing it. Even when I'm immersed in the game, I still abuse the game if possible though.

There's the occasional identity crisis when you're kind of "in-character" but an opportunity to really mess things up come and you'd really like what happens then too, but often I leave some extra things for a second time I play through the game. But RPG's, man... I don't really replay them, so I'm sometimes torn between choices that have some sort of long-term effects.
