I don't really think I'm famous, since I haven't even hit the 1000-post mark. I would like to think that I make some kind of impression, though.

I lurked here for ages before posting (about a year or so), so most of the people I think of as "famous" have left, or post very little nowadays. I never friend anyone because they're "famous", I friend people if they say something that I find interesting or awesome, if they friend me, or if I had a great conversation with them.

I'm not famous, and the only person whom I actually think is famous in The Escapist is Max. You should know.

If you look at the date on the last post before this thread was necro'd, you'd see that it was the day he joined. He was hardly well known then.

I'd say in the middle. I feel that I'm well known among a few, whose names I won't mention, but they know who they are. Otherwise, I'm really not that well known. Very few are, save the obvious choices (Labyrinth, Ultrajoe, Max to some extent, NewClassic, nilcypher, Susan Arendt and so on...).
