I'm not exactly a silent hill fanboy but i love a good horror game so yes i will be getting. I just hope it wasn't as disappointing as shattered memories.
I completely agree. Pyramid Head had a purpose in Silent Hill 2. In the film and Homecoming, he was merely there to look cool. Without any reason for being present or actually doing anything meaningful to advance the story, he comes off as a simple villain with a funny hat.proandi said:the inclusion of Pyramid Head in every one just annoys me.
Further to that he's also been confirmed to be in the Silent Hill 2 film which is based on the Silent Hill 3 game! Stupidness. The film is totally going to bomb too, Christopher Gans the Cinematographer isn't on board and he was the most redeeming feature!Mr. Eff said:I completely agree. This 100%. I like to call contemporary "horror" games "ADHD Horror". Because it's got pretty nasty creatures and a gruesome premise... being blasted apart by the armed-to-the-teeth protagonist.GreatTeacherCAW said:Yes. Even though Silent Hill has been on the decline, it still offers a better experience than, say... Dead Space or the other "horror" games out there.
You forgot the part where the monster jumps out at you, which is apparently horror these days.Griffolion said:While I won't claim to be the biggest fan of silent hill nor have played every single one, I respect them in trying to cling to it's very merited roots in a climate where "horror" is having 23 different weapons with which to kill not-so-scary-anymore monsters.
