I'm going to wait to see a couple of reviews. Not necessarily for the scores, but just to see what the game is actually like. I really like the trailers, but they seem to be focused completely on the co-op, and I would be playing it alone, so I don't know if it'd be that interesting to me. Also, I thought Portal 1 had pretty much the coolest ending of all the games that I played, but other than that, I thought it was just okay.

Considering how I don't like many Valve games (I hate TF2, really the only Valve game I like is HL2) and I didn't much like the first portal game. Actually, it was okay, just not "the greatest game ever made" as so many people tend to say. I'm also rather annoyed about the whole "cake is a lie" fad. Yes, we understand that she wasn't telling the truth (even though there was cake) but frankly it just got extremely old and annoying. In conclusion, probably not gonna buy until Steam has it on major sale. I'd rather just save my money for a game with a plot and at least some attempts at characterization. Really, the only voice you hear in the first one is Glados and that's mostly just her explaining how you should play, telling you you're going to die, blah blah, blah, blah blah. I eventually just turned off the volume because her comments weren't witty and her attempts at comedy had no effect on me whatsoever.
What's your definition of a plot? I mean, mine is a story but since Portal has a story but no plot we must be speaking different languages here.

OT: Hell freaking yes.

^I already saved up for it, pre-ordered it, and got antsy over it because I never actually have bought any current games several months ago

Those Blueberries...do they come in a muffin?

Of course I'll get it. Portal 1 was great and this one has co-op. The sheer fun it will provide while my friends and I find creative ways to kill each other instead of solving puzzles will be worth the cash and wait. I wonder if GlaDOS will be mad or amused...

That sounds like me explaining why I didn't like Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside (and completely unfunny) Story.

I'm not getting Portal 2, I know most everyone loved it (or says they do to appease all the Valve Fanboys here) but I didn't find anything fun about the first one and at $60 (or whatever the price will be) it's not worth hoping that I would like the sequel better.

Nope. Didn't really like the first one all that much so no real point in getting this one.
Same. I didn't really find it all that amazing, although maybe I should play it again because I was so frustrated with having to do certain puzzles near the end over and over again to get them exactly right that I probably missed out on the humor. I think I didn't like the puzzles because they were more about execution than figuring out what to do, I could know how to solve a puzzle immediately, then I just had to spend twenty minutes getting the timing down.
