Well I know it's the same movie released at 1994 plus I have the VHS but seeing on the Big Screen just makes it seem worth it.
I know it's a cash grab but I've spent money on stupider things before.

What about you on escapist

Are you going back to the theaters to see the King of the Jungle again

PS: something is wrong with the poll part so yea

As much as I know it's just a way for Disney to make tons of cash in the smallest amount of effort possible, The Lion King is one of my most favorite movies of all time.

And I have just seen it yesterday. Still as good as it was when it first came out, if not better.

The king of the jungle is Tarzan!

I was like 14-15 when it first came out and didn't see it at that time, so... no. Unless I get roped into taking a niece or nephew to see it.

Absolutely, it was the last Disney movie that I enjoyed. I was in middle school when it came out in theaters and got to see it twice after they re-released it later that year.

I hope they leave out that terrible new song though 0:

Oh The Lion King was emotionally traumatising for me. I watched it when I was about 4.

I'm going with my GF for an awesome date on Friday. I'm not big on the whole 3D aspect so hopefully we can catch a 2D showing assuming that's available. I loved the movie as a kid but not as much as Sleeping Beauty or, Lady and the Tramp. I literally wore out 2 or 3 VHS tapes of Tramp. 1 or 2 of Beauty.

I'm probobly going to so see it.

Its a masterpiece then. Its a master piece now.

I forget how old I was at the time (I'm 17, 18 in a few more days). But I did grow up with it then.

Yeeeeeessss! Soooo excited. My roommate and I are making it a bit of a big deal, going to the nicest theater we know and all. It's also her birthday, so that helps.

I did get to see it when it orginally came out, but I was like...4 or 5. So I don't remember it at all and would love to have fond memories of seeing it in theaters. And it is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I loved the Lion King, as a kid apparently I could recite the lines as they said them.
now I'm 17 turning 18 in a month or two, and I've loved taking out that old tape and watching it. I'm gonna see it

Disney has a lot of my money as it is. I'll only go see it if my Nephew and Niece want to. Not really a fan of 3D to be honest <.<

Already saw it, still one of my all time favorite films. And the 3D was great, very surprising considering it was a conversion.

I have a feeling my niece is going to be pestering me to take her to go see it, which means I have to practice my poker face so she doesn't see me cry when *SPOILER ALERT*

Mufasa dies.

My all-time childhood favourite. I watched it for the first time in about five years just the other day. So many references I didn't understand, like when Scar commands the hyenas like Nazi's... And when I was five, I had no idea who Matthew Broderick, Rowan Atkinson, or James Earl Jones were. The movie still gives me shivers at some parts, because of its sheer amazingness. So I would go and see it again.

First of all, The Lion King is one of, if not simply the best animated film ever made. Secondly, I am one who doesn't think "it doesn't completely change the landscape of what cinema means" is a good argument against 3D, and I highly appreciate the increased depth of field and level of immersion it provides. Thirdly, I barely remember the first time I saw The Lion King on the big screen, and I would really love to experience that again.

So, short answer: all the forces of Hell couldn't keep me away.

EDIT: Post # 4000! Woot!
