I've just seen this on ign
http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/115/1159252p1.html

It basically says most gamers are good when they are faced with a morality choice in a game. It got me thinking, in games like Bioshock or Red Dead Redemption I play the game from an evil perspective. I usually think the game is more fun that way and in RDR's case, its easier to just not worry about killing civillians than it is to try to avoid them. So, in a game, are you evil or good and why?

I'll usually play the good guy because it's my gut instinct to do the right thing... But only the first time around. Once I've finished the game, I almost always go back and start raising Cain.

Well, I pick all the good conversation options, but do all the bad stuff. What does that make me?

I go good. I forced an evil playthrough of games a couple just to see what that way was like, but I really didn't enjoy it. I don't like being an ass, even which I'm just a virtual ass.

More often than not, I can't help but be a good guy. I just feel downright icky when I make cruel choices. The rare exception is on occasion I'll play in a vaguely neutral manner, looking out for myself mainly, but not being a blighter.

Pragmatic. My characters look at a situation and react in a way that will benefit/minimize risk to them. So I guess chaotic neutral?

Whatever pleases me. I steal, shoot random people and occasionally choose the bad option, but usually I take the better option.

So I'm neutral leaning on good.

It honestly depends on the game. In RPGs where I am basically interacting with the characters

I am always good. On games where I play God like Sim cities or Black and White I always turn out evil even if I meant to be good.

In God games it's just so much more fun being evil

I'm somewhere in between. I'm basically a vindictive hero who isn't afraid to fight dirty to help everyone else stay alive.

More hero than renegade, although I'm LOVING the *interrupt*-system of Mass Effect 2. Sometimes, that flashy red symbol is just too tempting to ignore... >:D

I'm good with a twinge of "fuck you."

I essentially play as myself in games where different dialog options are available.

I normally play good first, that way I can see what I can do and then go back and play as the bastard just for fun, and just to see what would happen.

The only exception would be if I really like the evil character, then I would play that character first before I go back and play as the good guy.

Mostly good because I like being the awesome hero guy that everyone likes and when he passes by they throw roses at him and sing songs of his awesomeness, While doing some shady business behind close doors.

I play good, because I usually think 'ooo, it'd be bad ass to do this' but then I think 'How would that make me feel IRL? I can't do that, those people are innocent!' and wuss out

I usually roleplay a madman. It's far more fun than being evil or good.
