I kinda meant the whole tolerance thing about bi/hetero/homo as a joke...I was poking fun at the large number of people saying that they were straight but tolerant of other sexualities.
Oh. Well, I guess you got me, then.
If I seemed to react a bit strongly, it's because I live in an extremely progressive, PC city and the tossers who jump on every literary bandwagon probably get paid a fiver every time they say "I'm tolerant of (X)." So, like, with homosexuality, they would refer to themselves as "tolerant" of gays despite, say, BEING gay or having political or religious views which are not in any way at odds with homosexuality. In other words, claiming tolerance when they haven't tolerated jack.
I'm tolerant of being given huge piles of money, myself.

Gay yo!
I've seen a lot of people say "Straight but I'm fine with gay people as long as they don't shove it in my face." I can understand that but when some one is gay and is not a flaming pillar of flamboyant rainbows and unicorns vomiting sparkles and butterflies then it can be (for me at least) less awkward to be blunt about ones own sexuality. I don't like being hit on by women I find it unsettling and awkward as well as when men imply i like women, or when with girls people assume we are a couple, especially when that girl is also a lesbian. So i find it better to just say "Hay I'm gay" first of then get the whole 'What your GAY!? I would have never known! *insert several personal questions here*" SO ya I understand not wanting ever gay/lesbian around being like "HAY IM GAY!!" but then again I just try to slip that gem subtly into conversation, also I wish more metro peeps would be more open about their sexuality because it gets confusing. Sorry for my rant ><
Not at all, that was very enlightening. I imagine it must get frustrating. The problem with being gay is there's no clear indication (as long as folks aren't adhering to every gay stereotype in the book) that somebody is or isn't gay, is there?) And what with metrosexuality becoming a fashion (I think it's dumb), that's even more confusing. If I was gay I have NO idea how I would go about trying to meet somebody. I mean, in everyday life and outside of some gay bar. I'm not into the bar scene, gay or not.
Most gamers seem to have a hard enough time talking to the opposite sex about completely conventional heterosexual interest.
