I think it's because of a lack of context in the poll. There are no specifics on what is vanilla and what is not. Also, there is the pretty young crowd here. What's "freaky" to a teenager can be very familiar to folks who've been around a bit longer.

See, I'd rather not elaborate, because everyone has their own opinions, and if I say mine, then they might give into my opinion on it, because they assume that that is what most people think due to the fact it's one of the few that populate the thread, and therefore not give their own actual opinion, and rather just quote me and say "this"
And while I'm not being hugely condusive to discussion, I'd rather people formulate their own opinions than be forced into them, even if it is by themselves.
