I know I am, I love polls.
Just something about them that makes me want to get involved in them more than any other thread type.
Does everyone do this? Or even a majority? Let me know via the handy little device at the top of the thread.

Nope.

I am most likely to go into a thread with very little replies however. I am quite the attention whore you see and it feeds my ego to think that most people are reading at least the few replies before they just post their own stuff.

Absolutely, they stand out in the list of threads and add another layer of interactivity to the thread, one that is almost effortless to use and read at that. Polls are just awesome.

It does annoy me a lot when people put the 'bacon' or other 'joke' options in their polls but that's just me being an asshole.

Much like Tippy I also am attracted to the threads with few replies because I hate repeating what others have said or getting lost on the 5th page etc where only the most angry and pedantic people ever seem to find you.

It depends. Actually, yes - overall I am more likely. See, I'll only go in the thread for the poll (assuming it doesn't seem intriguing enough normally), if the thread title doesn't suggest one - e.g., it's not a question or anything similar. I'll go check on what exactly does the poll concern in that case.

I click on all threads equally, but I am more likely to actually comment on a thread without a poll. If a poll has an option that describes how I feel about the topic well enough, I don't really need to comment as well. That would just lead to more pointless posts by me that no one cares about. We don't need any more of those.

Polls do make a thread more fun, though.

I don't even think I realize it when I'm cruising through the forums, but polls definitely catch my attention.

I'm usually curious to see the results. It's a nice way to see the community's general opinion without having to scroll through pages of posts.

I think I saw your face in my dreams last night.

OP: Sometimes my brain goes on autopilot after a certain amount of caffeine, meaning I click on all kinds of things and suddenly wonder where I am. That's a surprisingly effective excuse, you know.

Nope, I just go off the title and see if I can lob in some comments before moving along.

Doesn't need a poll for that.

I actually go into polls less than normal ones. I see the poll and go "That's too much commitment for me."

I don't like polls because there tend to be better stories in threads that are more discussion base.

I chose dislike but wish there was an option between interference and hate.

No, but I'm much more likely to post in a thread with a low reply count. Don't know about everyone else, but I don't have time to read 10+pages of responses for most topics, and by the time a thread has reached a certain length I find what I was going to say has already been said, so it's just not worth repeating. Plus, in long threads I feel my post is most likely going to be lost in the flood, so again, not worth posting.

I think I do like seeing peoples opinion in polls. it is far too much work to try to understand something that is all written.

I agree. Polls are straight to the point. Plus, who doesn't like a cool graph to look at at the end of the day? Of course I like looking at other things at the end of the day, but that's a different topic.

Yes.

That accurately sums up my personality when it comes to forum polls.

It makes no difference to me and I often find myself not voting on the poll anyway, as it's much better to give an answer and a reason than just an answer.

No, I clicked onto this thread to read your opinion/ discussion for it to having a poll than to have a poll in it.

should have added a "i never use polls" option
irony would have been strong on that

Not really...
If the topic is interesting it doesn't matter fi there's a poll optioon or not.
Also if it isn't a poll I'm not interested in then I won't jump in to vote either.
