I hold the facade of normalcy when in the outside world around strangers. However, when alone, or with close friends or family, I revert to the quirky being I truly am. Now who wants a hug?
I'm always down for a good ol' fashioned hug. But If you're trying to pull one of them new-fangled hug-like-but-not-really-a-hug things, I say to you good day.

Just like everybody elso on this topic, I'm proud that I'm not normal.
The irony is just dripping off of your post... it's delicious.

All that said, sure I'm normal. Why not?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by your post. Can you please eloborate?

No. Who wants to be a normal, faceless person, with no interesting difference from other people. Be radical! :D

Can we plz stop with the existential threads and get back to murdering small squishy things in our video games and then talk about how we restarted the game 50 times so we could keep doing it while slowly jerking off to the blood splatters that turned out inexplicably different each time?

OT: normal is a cultural fallacy, such a thing is not a question of actions, but of perception, and in the sense that we're all dust in the wind, a flash in the pan of the ages, then yes, we are all normal.

Normal people are boring, it's the crazies that are fun :D
Agreed.

I'd hate to be thought of as "just like everyone else", I know technically speaking we all are when you apply it to the human race, but I mean to individuals, I'd rather be known to people someone who is a little quirky than an average joe who is as forgettable as the next person.

No, I'm a geek who makes constant references to things, considered quite smart, and an aspie (though I'm pretty normal compared to other aspies, it's a borderline case).

However, since the idea of what is normal relies on generalization, I don't think that many people would think of themselves as truly normal.

To give more anecdotal evidence, a girl at my school I've known for a while and am friends with insists I'm very weird.

What defines "normal"? I view myself as a normal person but other people around me do not think or comment it so. Other people who consider themselves normal I personally view as crazy or weird.

I'm normal! Hell ya! I can... um... join the army with a clean bill of health! I can walk in and out of insane asylums anytime I want! Suck it!

I mean it is incredibly ironic, and in my opinion funny, to say the sentence "Just like everyone else ... I'm proud I'm not normal." Because if you're just like everyone else, then you are the definition of normal.

Yeah, I thought you meant that. But I was reffering to everybody in this topic that said that they weren't normal, I wasn't reffering to society (although I guess I should have used the word majority instead of 'everybody'). But all well, my own little ironic accident.

I know what you mean. Not to mention, considering how 'normal' girls around my age act, I am very glad to be different.

It's one of those topics where I usually say "blah is in the eye of the beholder." Which I've been called both normal and abnormal. I don't make those sort of gneralizations about myself since it's just plain useless anyway.
