I don't have OCD, but I do things that people with OCD do...
Mainly though I have an obsession to have D.V.D.'s, games, CD's and books all organized in some kind of order, be it alphabetical, in year of release, date I got them, or how much I like them.
And some other stuff I can't remember really.

and if i finish on the wrong side, i have to remember and finish on the wrong side when i walk back to like even it out

but if i listed all of mine, it'd take up way more space than i think anyone cares about

How can you just start a topic on this like it's the same as asking someone what they eat for breakfast? I've been in psych treatment for OCD for a year now, and it's truly horrible. You have no idea what you're talking about - you can't have a little OCD, you either have it or you don't, simple as. And when you do have it, let me tell you the first step is to learn to separate yourself from the OCD. IT ISN'T YOU, It's something else. So to ask the question "Are you OCD?" Is just so wrong, so very very wrong. It's people like you that should be kept away from anyone with problems.

OCD and ADD or like, the most self-diagnosed illnesses' EVER, so to seem like the cool outcast who think he smart and witty and everyone likes, I'm going to say "no" i don't have OCD.
Nah, you're forgetting the self-diagnosed "asspies". If you know what I mean.
I have no idea what an "asspie" is, but i am really curious? what is it?

Sometimes, I have to make bloody sure the door is shut and I organize my discs according to alphabet(Horizontal) and year released according to album(Vertical). I don't think i have OCD, though.

I have a pretty hard case of religious OCD... And it´s annoying as hell... Imagine this: you just came out with a great idea, but you don´t know who, I mean God or the devil , gave you that idea! Yes, it´s horrible

I am actually diagnosed with OCD, and I don't know how you can have it "a tiny bit". Annoying habits like filing things all the time is not OCD. I cannot sleep when I think the bedsheets on the bed are not perfectly, flawlessly smooth and straight, and I get physically distressed if I can't repeatedly sync my iPod or wash my hands whenever I go near a sink, among other things, and it pisses me off to hear people go "Ohh, I put all my DVDs on a shelf! I'm soooooooo OCD!"

If only these people realised how hard it is to actually hold down a job when you can't haul yourself away from the bathroom for five minutes, I'm sure their tunes would be different.
Yes!!! This. I hate it when people say LOL MY OCD MAKES ME DO THIS SO MUCH ROFL. Or I HAVE TO CHECK THE MAIL EVERY DAY IT'S MY OCD LOLZ!

No, it's a serious disorder and if you had it you'd know it's not a joke, funny or otherwise.

Edit: And looking through the rest of this thread it seems that a lot of people just don't comprehend what living with OCD is really like. Lucky them!

I wash my hands quite a lot, but that's only when I feel like they're dirty. My parents and brother keep taking the mickey and saying I have OCD, especially since I also like to keep things tidy and organised. That's simply because I was brought up to be neat and tidy, so it's their fault anyway. OCD? No, I don't think I have it, but as I said, my family say I have it a little bit, so although I don't have it, I put 'a tiny bit' as my poll answer.

I act like it, but saying I have it even a little bit is too reminiscent of those people who claim to have Asperger's Syndrome and use it as a catch-all to avoid being called out for acting like twats.

As long as people understand the severity of some cases and don't try to claim that their habbitual desire to eat curry on a Tuesday or whatever is on the same level as proper OCD I just let them get on with it and ignore it.

In some ways it's the same as someone whose OCD makes them unable to interact with people or other such serious cases hearing me say my hands are dry from excessive washing. Though, I would never claim to have the disorder on a level that really changes my life, I'm still a functional member of society.
I think that is fair enough, I think the time it get me is when they say they have it, and so I ask them about it and it is obvious they dont (like example someone told me because they liked to horde items in RPG games they must be OCD, even thought they clearly sell lower grade items and only really horde things of value) and I tell them they obviously dont have it, they try and argue with comments like "but if you read what people say on forums/chat rooms etc, they have OCD and im the same as them", yes they are right, you are just like them, you both dont know what you are on about (ok i cant really comment on what the people on the forums etc they read what they did, they maybe OCD and these other people are idiots, i dont know)

I guess i find it annoying as I knew someone at uni that had OCD and I saw how much she struggled with simple things in her day to day life, how much longer it took her to do simple tasks and how annoyed she got at herself. That reminds me I havent seen her for ages, need to catch up again, i think she is now married, anyway off topic.

Not in any particular manner...
My family's got a lot of OC people, so I've made a point to not need to collect things 'n such.
