Poll: Are you part of the Nerd Rage?

So Left4Dead2 (Wow, I don't know why, but it seems so awkward to type that. Such a mouthful) is coming out for the PC and Xbox 360. And yes, some fans are just excited as I am, waiting patiently for that game while we are dying from the summer's video game drought. But others, who are hating on Valve and are boycotting Left4Dead 2, or at least supporting what some people call "the Nerd Rage." Me personally am not part of this Nerd Rage, because I'm fine with this game coming earlier than what the Nerd Rage supporters would like it to be. So how bout it? Are you part of the Nerd Rage?

No. Why would I be mad that Valve is releasing a new game? (I think Valve may break the universe by releasing a game in 1 year).

I don't think it should have been released so soon, they should have waited another year a least.

Why wait unless you have issues in the game to sort out? If they get it out for christmas they can ride on the back of the original's success to a degree. After all, they got a lot of flak for delaying HL episode 2 for so long so why wait?

Main reason I might get L4D2 is because I played L4D at a friends house and liked it, and I figure it might be better to wait and see how the sequel is and whether or not I want that more than the original.

remember valve had no obligations to patch L4d1. They said they would but that doesn't matter its their decision whether to commit to previous words or not.
You cant be angry at a writer who doesn't complete a book series or doesn't put any effort into it. Like everyone else valve wants money.

I'm fairly indifferent to L4D 2, wasn't really all that taken in by the first one, which as a huge Valve fan I found a little disappointing.

It felt like an ufinished test game or something.

I don't have L4D, so I guess that I'll get this one, since the bit of the first one that I played was quite fun.

Well they did promise some DLC for Left 4 Dead....which a promise...is a promise, and those who complain about that the game has not drastic changes....it does...quite alot of them! So it will be a tottally different game, but valve did promise more DLC so they are kinda in the wrong here....

Or at least 2 campaigns as good as No Mercy, to wait out for L4D2...I mean it was promise, I know thats not saying much because it comes from a company BUT RLY! They promised!

I'm in the middle ground here, they promised DLC, but then again L4D2 looks tasty enough that it will be stupid to boycott and that they are showing that they are making enough content for a sequal and then some!

the one problem i have for l4d2 is that nearly every thing annouced to be in it could have been Dlc( which they promised for lfd).

There doesn't seem to be any actual point to boycotting Valve for at least attempting to make a sequel to the first Left 4 Dead or boycotting because the didn't add any DLC to the first game.

I'm completely indifferent to L4D2 and I'm not raging about Valve's recent actions, so no, I'm not part of the "Nerd Rage." It seems silly to get upset about something a corporation says they're going to do, because corporations are in it for the money, not their customer's feelings.

I can see where Nerd Rage is coming from, but since I didn't buy L4D, and I might buy L4D2 now, I don't really care. Yay for selfishness!

It's Valve man. They can release Half Life Episode 4 and then 2 weeks latter Half Life 3, all I care about is that they will release a new game and hopefully it will be good (Well with valve it's always good). With left 4 dead 2 I do think that they should have waited a bit longer but that's just me. Other than that I am against nerd rage.

Not really part of the rage, just dissapointed in valve with leaving it so... unexpanded.

especially if they make it cost alotta money... again... I mean if they make a L4D3 next year as well I'ma throw a fit. it's like they'll want $60/year from us zombie killin fans... no fair on their part...

Well, L4D turned out farther than many expectations, and who knows, maybe they'll still focus on L4D as they are working with L4D2. I'm a little leaning on both, because it kind of seems as though Valve is ditching L4D, yet Valve really didn't promise much. No offense to the people who are part of the Nerd Rage.

We must all hunt down the people that signed the L4D2 boycott petition and make sure they DO NOT buy the game when it comes out. If they try to buy it, we cut their hands off.
