If its an apocalypse i wont need to be ready, as all life ceases during one.

If you survived an 'apocalypse' what you were actually in was a cataclysm.

But if i were to survive a cataclysm, i have an imitation chinese army shovel.

I have made some preparations. I chose a place to live that is nestled in a canyon with two ways in and out, protected by sheer cliffs that cannot be scaled and is in a line of abandoned houses, fresh water from a creek, an open woodline for hunting. A small plot of land big enough to grow enough food to support myself, and a defensible armory less than a mile away.

Other preparations such as heavy weaponry

Some rudimentary supplies such as crank powered radio/flashlights, batteries, shells, extra blankets, two dozen empty water jugs, DC to AC power inverters, medical textbooks, engineering textbooks, Extensive first aid kit and other items.

However there is still plenty of prep work to do like building water filtration system, Distillery, Faraday cages, General tools like wood axe, shovels, post diggers, Tarps, nails, screws, etc stockpile nonperishable foods and other preparations, but will be making those preps in about two more weeks, and most importantly I start EMT training in May.

So yeah a few preparations have been made, but you can never be prepared enough.

I voted "No", because this is about being prepared in terms of supplies and other preparations.

However I'd say that I am mentally prepared. I lived my life as I like it and when death finally strikes, it's fine. May it be in five minutes or after decades. It doesn't matter. So... If any apocalyptic scenario occurs, I'd just deal with the situation at hand.

I'd probably change my ordinary schedule (mandatory) from productive activities and events to;

Dying
Painful dying
Last defying squirms and
Death

And... That would be about my schedule.

I don't have a firearm yet, but my family owns several handguns, a shotgun, and a couple of rifles. We've got a pretty full stock of tools, and we live both near civilization and near vast expanses of wooded areas (Michigan).

We still need a generator and some more canned food. Although, I'd say we've got a week to two weeks in an emergency, without including the 60 or so pounds of deer meat in our freezer, which would last us quite a bit longer (but would have to be eaten first if the power went out).

I'd say we're semi-prepared. A lot more prepared than the average family, just above average compared to the rest of Michigan. My guess, at least.

No... but I don't like to think there WILL be an Apocalypse... I'm ALREADY paranoid, quit bringing it up on TV, dammit!

I am. I've read enough books on it, pretty sure I'd be the ultimate survivor.

Full hiking gear, several bags & containers, penknife, various tools & construction materials available, I should be ok. Only things that I really need are fresh water, a tent, and a decent weapon.

I'm ready. If you count 'ready to die' as being properly prepared. I wouldn't mind if I was one of the massive amounts of lives inevitably lost in the initial events of an apocalypse. I don't think I'm cut out for wasteland survival.

Good luck out there!

I'dd add in an optional suicide.
A lethal dose of narcotics would come in handy, i'd rather die sleeping than being thorn apart by something, radiation poisoning, starving, etc.
You get the idea.
Just added it. A bit late, but eh. Suicide is kind of the best option if it were a something 'fallout'-esque, were rebuilding humanity would take...well, forever. Haha

Well, I've got my Vault Dweller's Survival Guide and a couple dozen bottlecaps laying around. What else do I need?
